Palin's Speech

Her speech was widely said to be brilliant, even liberal CNN.
Obama will win, but if he had a list of passed legislation half as long as his accomplishments as a campaigner it would be one of the largest margins EVER.

Not a peep yet from the liberal MSM about the lies from last night.

Same ol', same 'ol - you can really say just about anything in politics.

So many lies...where to start?

Here is one. Huckabee claiming that Sarah Palin got more votes as mayor than Biden got for president.

Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor's election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.

Rofl here is another.

MCCAIN: "She's been governor of our largest state, in charge of 20 percent of America's energy supply ...

Ok yes largest state. Not a lie, he is just assuming that voters are stupid and don't understand the difference between land size and population.

"in charge of 20 percent of America's energy supply"

Gee I didn't know our energy supply was socialized. She isn't in charge of it....all she can do is tax it.

So many lies.

Since they are politicians I'm sure there were many lies. However your two examples were not lies. As you said Alaska is the largest state. Of course as you also said we usually think about size in terms of population but its not lying to say its our largest state. If someone truly thinks Alaska has the most people of any state my guess is they probably weren't watching and probably aren't registered to vote.

And your second comment is a typical political figure of speech. When voters are asked who's better qualified to be in charge of our economy it's not implying we have a socialized economy. I think you know that.

As I said I'm sure there were lies in there. You don't help your cause when you try and manufactor them.

Obama was the sole sponsor of 129 bills and resolutions in the US Senate. That's not counting co-sponsored bills or amendments.
With Senate in session for a meager 143 days prior to ZerObama beginning his Presidential run, that comes out to about ONE BILL OR RESOLUTION PER DAY.

I call "Bullshit." Show me something to back it, then I'll reconsider. Until then, I vote "Present."

P.S. Resolutions to declare Polish Kielbasa week or National chewing gum day don't count.

I checked his record. It's not gangbusters, but he played a big role in a few important pieces of legislation, including a bipartisan effort with Hagel to make us safer from nuclear terror, as well measures dealing with ethics & corruption, helping families of injured soldiers with healthcare & alt energy.

Regardless, it's complete BS - a total lie - to say that he didn't do anything in the Senate, or never reached across the aisle. And yet it's what they keep repeating this week.

Lying has worked very well for them in the past, and the MSM rarely calls them on it; if it ain't broke, as they say...

I'm not saying he did 'nothing.' I do question the nearly ONE PER DAY ratio that this works out to be. Garbage. His campaign is trying to fluff his resume IMHO.

Obama: Good at resume padding busy work, and community organizer. He really is a loser. I can say this shit about both sides, because they all suck my nads.

We get 20% of our energy supply from Alaska ? I don't think so.

I hope you are kidding me because you have got the quintessential resume-inflater on your ticket...and Palin is no slouch at that either.

I said the state size wasn't a lie. It is just political trickery that works on dummy republicans. The other statement is a bold faced lie.

Are you counting the previous session. I don't believe you are.

I am not about to try to determine the number of bills/resolutions that you think "count." You are using some subjective definition, while I am providing facts.

Of the 70 in the 110th 11 were resolutions. Of the 66 in the 109th 5 were resolutions. My sources are factcheck.org and Thomas, not the Obama campaign.
