The normal human being has no freakin clue what Obama and Biden are talking about today, or where they are at. The normal human being has interactions with political fruitcakes at least once within a week timeframe. The Democrats are always the loudest, while Conservatives just kinda keep to themselves (unless they are pushing religion, and we see people becoming less and less religious too)

I would counter look at Bill Clinton. He ran as a 'new Democrat' and was the first Dem since FDR (?) to serve two full terms.

Hard to imagine he wins in 92 without Perot. 96, yes.

I do believe there is a big opportunity for dems to run more as economic leftist, or, populists.

But the left position on national security is a loser in the general.

NOW Obama returns to the same tired failed politics of the DLC and Obamaites are wondering what happened.

This is supposed to be the Year of the Democrats .. the easiest election in history. They had everything going for them.

I agree with much of this, except that, I am not wondering what happened, and I never thought this was going to be the easiest election in history. I never understood why you thought it would be a landslide. My opinion – this country really is that divided. And Obama is winning, and I believe will win. But, that’s just my take on it.
