Paul uses that a lot to describe Jesus as the first of humanity following the fulfillment of the covenant.....it stems from his resurrection, not his birth.....

You should have seen the time he tried to say that people who adhered to a religious belief, were more likely to go to jail; because he had something that said a large percentage of people in prison were religious.
Even after several people tried to explain to him that a lot of people begin being religious, AFTER they've already been incarcerated.

He seeks glory from GOD and not His own. Two different identities.

IDIOT ALERT!!! It's basically saying that the things He teaches are not His own teachings but GOD's teachings! How dense can you be? I was at the stage you are early in my walk, but I quickly realized much doctrine is undefendable. lol
If Jesus is GOD, he wouldn't have to teach someone else's teaching as He would know everything GOD knows but that's not the case!

then you should be able to point to the passage in John in which he makes that "perfectly clear"......No because it context of the Gospel Of John. It couldn't mean what you want it to mean because John makes it perfectly clear in the book Jesus is not GOD.

isn't logical that an incarnate God, God who has vested himself in mortal flesh would be less than God who has not?......

The way I've always read everything is that Jesus was trying to say that God was in all of us, and that we were all "god" in a sense.
Kind of a bummer that the essential message of that has gotten so far from its intent. The whole deification thing of just one guy comes from a place of almost pure ego, which is the opposite of what he was, imo.
