A president can't go to prison, it would be a national security risk.
Plus Trump would still have secret service protection which overrules prison authority.
This means all sorts of things like Trump could never be handcuffed, he couldn't be fed regular prison food, he could not be in general population or anywhere he may be compromised.
It simply would be a nightmare for any jail trying to house him.
If Trump is found guilty he would be sentenced to house arrest at worse.

If he manages it once, he'll have to luck out with a favorable jury to do it. Or some kind of bizarre ruling from a friendly judge, which could get overturned. Trump's problem is that in order to stay out of prison he would have to do this many times. Looks like it is going to have to be twice at the federal level and another 2 times at the state level.
He's gonna have to ask himself if he really feels that lucky.
What he keeps telling his followers is he is not that lucky, that he is constantly a victim. We know he lied about being a 'great businessman.' He inherited most of his wealth and lost a lot of it with bad deals and bankruptcies. He got bailed out and lucked out by being hired to be a bully character on TV, which is was naturally very good at.
Why would any person get attacked and victimized so much?
What has he done to get arrested so often?
Because he is so good? Because he is so rich? That makes no sense. There are plenty of good and rich people who do not get victimized like that. It must be something he is doing to bring it on himself. Maybe he really is breaking all those laws. Maybe he really is a crook.
Maybe he was born rich and had seriously dysfunctional parents and a tragic childhood with no attention and no real friends. Maybe he was mentally abused as a child. Maybe he is really messed up in the head with such a short attention span he even interrupts himself in mid sentence, Can't even finish the thought before his mind is flitting off to something else. Maybe he punched a teacher and got out of control and got sent to military school because his family could no longer handle him. Maybe the way he was raised taught him to be a heartless selfish bully. Maybe he was raised to hate paying taxes or contributing to the nation he lives in. Maybe he feels no civic responsibility. Maybe he was raised to be a racist. Maybe he was raised to be obsessed with wealth. Maybe he tried to cheat his siblings out of their inheritance and got caught and forced to share it.
Maybe he is so messed up and cold hearted he went to a movie the day his brother lay dying alone in a hospital.
Maybe his father cut his niece out of any inheritance because her father wanted to be free to be an airline pilot. Maybe his niece became a PhD in psychology and wrote a tell-all book analyzing Trump's messed up mind.
Maybe everything never-Trumpers are saying about his is true. Maybe he really is about as shallow as he looks and doesn't know how to behave in society.
Maybe he will end up in prison because he thought laws didn't apply to him; or he could always pay lawyers to fix whatever mess he got into.

I do agree he would likely get house arrest, with VERY STRICT regulations, no computer, no phone, no leaving the house without prior court approval.

They would have to but if you've ever seen how a prison kitchen works they don't work that way.
They make stuff in bulk meaning special equipment would have to be brought in and plus the kitchen ovens are going all day long so you would need more ovens just to accommodate one man.
No prison would want a president as an inmate, it would be a nightmare for them.

I have seen the secret service take over a local restaurant for the entirety of a president’s vacation. It can and would be done.
