And this is backfiring already on DeSantis, as much of his working class reliable voters, now find themselves showing up to Political meetings, something they never thought they would do, to tell republi'cans' how this policy may put them, their community and neighbors out of business.

DeSantis quietly has his emicaries out telling them 'not to worry, not much will actually change on the ground and to try and quell their workers fears and tell them not to leave', as they do not plan to hunt down and punish them.

Meaning the law is for political purposes only, really, with maybe some selective enforcement against perceived 'enemy' targets (hello Disney) but they understand these workers are vital and needed elsewhere.


That perfectly encapsulates todays Republi'can'. We see a problem. We offer our strong armed measures and laws to our base that do nothing but make the problem worse. We know that and so we quietly encourage them to keep doing the illegal thing even as we make it more illegal.

Raising those to wage levels to where people can 'support themselves' on a US lifestyle budget WILL cause mass inflation and mass industry loss across America.

When it comes to decisions at the cash register American citizens will not pay three times as much on their grocery for 'vegetables grown in America' if the neighboring South American vegetables are that much cheaper.

The American farms will die and inflation will spike.

Republicans have historically been the party that looks the other way as long as there is food to be picked, food to be processed, and now construction work to be done by immigrants.
