Saudi Arabia’s bitch!

I stand with the Yemeni people, the innocents who suffer while these various groups fight each other. 85,000 children have died of starvation. It is criminal. You act as if I do not find Iran guilty as well, I do, but the Saudis are causing undue suffering to the poorest of the poor. They are not blameless in this.

Oh yes.. the Saudis are blameless. The have been good neighbors to Yemen thru thick and thin.. building hospitals, clinics, schools, colleges, water treatment plants..... supporting economic development.. providing food, medicine and gasoline of 30 years.

This disaster is the work of Iran and the Houthis as well as Al Qaeda, Boko Haram and ISIS.

he didn't support the murder, in fact he set sanctions on those know to have be a part of it.
But you know Jack -you are fairly smart on geopolitics we don't just jettison a close "specialrelationship" over 1 murder no matter how gruesome.

Trump made a big boy call
Big whoop! They are in jail, some of them will be executed. This is a worthless action.

I think you are correct, not knowing all the particulars of past KSA/Yemen interactions.
It's not like KSA went into Yemen with any designs on it's territory or people. it's a defensive war.

Horseshit. Lip service to justice and decency. Trump's inaction is going to plague him AND the country indefinitely. You are talking the morals of the mob.

I disagree. He could have publicly condemned the murder. And acknowledged who the Mastermind behind it was. It's called "Individual Rights versus State Power". Try to get on board with Western Civilization.

What they did in the past is erased by the misery their blockades are causing the poor people of Yemen now. They are not blameless. They have also bombed schools and hospitals killing children which has been verified by the UN, they are not blameless.

why is there a blockade?

You mean to prevent weapons and missiles flowing to the Houthis from Iran?

You sure are magnanimous... I am glad the Houthis aren't lobbing missiles at US stadiums and refineries and villages.

What great timing for this article!: https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/yemen-war-saudi-arabia-iran-houthi-rebels-un-peace-talks-ceasefire-conflict-a8644681.html

Blaming Saudi Arabia for the war in Yemen is doing nothing to achieve peace – we need to understand Iran’s key role in the conflict

Any plan to end the conflict without putting more pressure on Iran to dismantle its Quds forces is highly likely to fail, as we’ve seen since the beginning of this conflict.

This week, Yemen’s internationally recognised government agreed to take part in peace talks in Sweden after a leader in the Houthi rebel group called for a halt to military operations.

Since the Houthi uprising in 2015, the war has turned Yemen into one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters. The bulk of the criticism has been placed on the Saudi-led coalition as well as the western countries which arm it. But if we want to achieve peace in the region we need to start to take into consideration the atrocities the Houthi rebels have also committed.

In September 2014, Houthi rebels, who only represent a small minority of the population in Yemen, attacked the capital city of Sanaa and seized it. Many Yemenis called this a coup against the elected and internationally recognised Yemeni government.

The Houthis were able to take the capital in just a few days thanks to the backing they received from Iran, which has been providing Houthi rebels with missiles which have targeted Saudi Arabia, and seems likely to continue to do so regardless of UN sanctions.

The war in Yemen is a proxy for Iran’s war against Saudi Arabia, as part of its wider Shia Crescent strategy, which aims to link a network of allies spanning from the border with Iraq to Lebanon in a crescent shape. (continued)
