The Chinese are kicking our butt tech-wise. It wasn't always like that. They made a huge focus on education and it made the difference.

Not completely in agreement on the tech thing but agree America needs to do better if we want to stay ahead. China is definitely in the "#2 tries harder" mode.
Let's not forget that China has 4 times the people as the US. If both countries educate the top 10% of their population, the US would have 3.3M and China would have 14M. They're manpower resources are greater and, as authoritarians, they don't have to worry about a backbiting Congress fucking things up.

It is impossible to know what any of would do, until we are actually in the situation.... But there are some really bad signs from the alt right. Many of the alt right posters are demanding the Ukrainians surrender, even though the alt right posters do not have to fight in the Ukrainian resistance.
