But Trump has been a pathetic leader. The above isn't even very good spin.

Just a couple of weeks ago, you said you had no idea how we'd ever hit 50,000. Before that, you had a thread citing 61 in a sarcastic way as "exploding." Now you're saying he really kept the death toll "down."

It's kind of amazing.

I’m flattered you read and assimilate my posts so religiously.

Explosion sarcasm aside, the ‘gist’ of the ‘61 post was the prediction the OH COVID guru made about 100k infections, in OH on 3/16.

That one was a real winner, huh lol? Oddly, that never gets mentioned by the lefties.

You also ignored my point about how Trump actually campaigned on China and had them dead to rights—in 2016, while the left spent three years harping about Russian assets hiding in the closet.

Which of the two had it right? And can you blame people for not voting to going back to being China’s bitch, after all this?

Trump may have his warts but he’s nobody’s fool. This country desperately needs that in a leader.

President Trump has spoken to the grief and suffering daily at his briefings, caused by the virus from China that China failed to contain.

He is allowing the states to reopen their economies by stages as per the guidelines.

It’s the Democrats who are fighting to keep the economy from recovering.

Shifty Schiff is even speaking of investigations while a pandemic is occurring here and around the world.

I don't remember anyone saying over 2 million if we shut down. I remember those were the predictions for scenarios where we did nothing, or very little (sorry - can't open your link).

Though, Trump repeatedly says that he saved over 2 million lives w/ his actions at this point....

That prediction was from 3/17/2020... When we were already doing things. Likely he's using those huge predictions from early on to spur those comments. At this point if that "prediction" held as the one we were using to measure things by... Trump looks frickin' brilliant. 1% would be 220K deaths... 58K is incredibly good with that kind of prediction.

Well, not to be pessimistic, but just last week they were saying 60K by August. I think we're likely to see closer to 200K with reopening measures (which I largely do not disagree w/, btw - I do think it becomes a lesser of 2 evil argument, and the economy has suffered too much already).

Trump never looks frickin' brilliant, or anything close to it. Anyone who really believes that has lowered the bar for brilliance immeasurably.

Yet, you seem to want him to look brilliant... Less than 1% of the predicted deaths (200K still is less than 1% of the original projection) will make Trump look very good, and will make leftist idiots look petty and uncaring.
