•USCIS Form I-9: Employment Eligibility Verification Form. You must complete the first part of this form, which is used to ensure that you are legally authorized to work in the United States -- and that you are who you say you are. You will also have to provide documentation proving your identity and work status, such as a passport. Your employer may make copies of these documents, but must return the originals to you.
•New Hire Reporting Form. This form requires you to provide basic identifying information about yourself, which the state government will use to determine whether you owe child support.

It's more competitive for officers. When I first got into the environmental services business in 99-01 I was a project manager of a DOD contract that was prevailing wage and as hazmat manager with a college degree I was on the comparable pay scale as a Captain on the high end and a Major on the low end of the pay grade and most of my military counterparts were either Captains or Majors. Basic pay for them was in the high 30's to mid 40's per year but total compensation was probably closer to $45 -$55 kpy.....but that was a 14 years ago so I imagine you could probably add another $5 to $10 KPY in total compensation.
