Hilarious. An hour ago you had no idea who John Ensign was. Now you not only know who he is but you know that, behind the scenes, the GOP forced him to resign because one Nevada based talk show host said he should resign and anonymous staffers said he was isolated by his colleagues.

What does not knowing about a specific politician have to do with knowing precisely how the political parties behave?

I can make statements like "Democrats will defend the indefensible" because I know it to be true. That doesn't mean I know every specific indefensible issue that they have defended. I also know that the GOP won't attack its own in the media, as they know the media will always twist shit to make them look bad. So the way this all went down is exactly as I would have predicted.

Stock happens to be influential in talk radio, and he's heard by a lot more people than your average congressman.
