The House hasn't issued a subpoena.....YET! They've ask Comey to voluntarily appear at a closed hearing. The House Republicans as usual have no gonads nor do the Senate Republicans. The Never Trumper Republicans are the road blockers right along with the Democrats, they're a pathetic lot! This FBI and Justice Department Cabal should have had its lid blown off long before now. There's several scumbag Republicans involved in the Trump Trap scam including Comey, Rosenstein, Mauller and several others in the FBI and Justice Department. Robo makes up shit, like for some reason in a public hearing they would be limited in the time they can question. How does that make sense?

I never watched a public hearing where the committee politicians could have more than 5 minutes each more than 4 or 5 times, have you? I'll add that up for you, it totals 15 to 20 minutes of questions each. Why is Comey scared of that? He's not! furthermore he can avoid any question he doesn't like in a public hearing simply by pleading "classified information" not for public display. Comey loves that "FACT" as much as you and the rest of the bleeping left love it. How many times must it be explained to you?

They generally run hearings on CSPAN, and they are long affairs with lots of questioning. Also the reds are in charge, so they make the rules. Comey has zero power over these things and the Repubs total control. Fact is the reds don't want public hearings because they want to spin. If we have it in public, it hurts their lies.

Actually public TV has control over how long and what "PUBLIC" hearings they'll cover If the reds wanted to spin, they'd favor public hearings, otherwise who the bleep would they have the opportunity to spin to? in a private hearing where only the transcript would be available for public and media observation is everybody able to read it and determine the facts for themselves. That's what Comey and the left is scared shitless of.

Again, just for you friend since your having such difficulty understanding the facts, A private hearing whereby the transcript thereof is open and revealed to the public and the media only redacted from classified materials by an FBI team, isn't what's "cowardly," but insisting on a public hearing so you can put on a bleeping show by grandstanding and refusing to answer questions by pleading your answer would be classified information and fearing being questioned for more than 5 minutes at a time by particular questioners "IS WHAT'S COWARDLY!"

We'll see how that goes. Comey will likely refuse the subpoena and bet the farm that the House Cowardly Republicans won't press the issue at least not soon enough to make it stick before the Democrats take over in Jan. and the Senate Republicans won't have the nuts to take up the charge.

Not so! Public TV has a say in public hearings. They're not interested in single politicians and or witnesses putting on grandstanding shows, spinning their political views and campaigning for reelection before the cameras in endless diatribes without limits. They have time limit agreements with both Houses of the Congress.

What I actually understand is that you can't hold a conversational debate without at least one or more insults aimed at your opponent. It doesn't make you look intelligent, it only proves you have no valid arguments and you have a need to simply fill space with insults.

A dancing comic show, dancing around truths and or trying to convince others he's the sharpest knife in the drawer by avoiding questions by playing fast and loose with the rules. Aside from that The President is smart enough to know that a Never Trumper Republican with a house full of Democrat lawyer/prosecutors who hate him who hold the power of prosecution in their hands without any congressional oversight who are salivating to frame him with a perjury trap are way more dangerous to felons and innocent folk alike, unlike the Congress critters with congressional hearings, with ZERO ability to prosecute anybody, who's only power is to let in sunlight on the operators of the people's government.

In this case, Gowdy will control it, Not Comey, but Gowdy.

Actually, in either case, closed hearings or open hearings, Gowdy will have limited control. He must follow the House rules for open or closed hearings and that includes any and all time limits if any for the questioning of witnesses. Where in the United States and her laws do you ever find a legal hearing where "THE WITNESS" has control of the hearing aside from applying his/her constitutional rights?
