Trey Gowdy Exposes Comey's Cowardly Refusal Of A Closed Door Hearing

A day or so ago South Carolina’s Republican House member Trey Gowdy exposed why James Comey, (fired FBI Director) is refusing to submit to a closed door hearing by the House committee all about the Hillary Clinton “get out of jail free” ticket Comey handed her and other stuff concerning the attempt by the FBI and Justice Department to frame Donald Trump with some kind, any kind of crime.

Comey claims he just wants transparency and a public televised hearing and he also wants to avoid the Republicans on the committee leaking classified information to the press. Well Trey Gowdy laughs at those excuses Comey is claiming. According to Gowdy, if Comey testifies before a closed door committee, Sir James couldn’t grandstand, (a talent Sir James loves to practice before the TV cameras.) Gowdy also notes that in closed door hearings, no House member is restricted to a simply 5 minute questioning period as with the open TV hearings. House panel members can use as much time as they need to throughly question the witnesses testimony, and Gowdy claims that Comey’s worst nightmare is the thought of being questioned in an unlimited session by him. Gowdy also notes that in a closed door setting Comey couldn’t refuse to answer any question on the grounds that the answer would be “classified” information not allowed in a public session., (a tactic Comey uses regularly and intends to keep in his “avoid bag”). Comey’s only other tactic in a closed hearing would be to plead the 5th, another tactic that Democrats and never Trumpers keep in their avoid bags.

No, Comey is not afraid to testify, Comey is afraid that people like Gowdy will lie about his testimony if it’s behind closed doors. He wants it public.
 
Gowdy has spent the last few years making an ass out of himself. He could have done some good but he only cared about face time so you know what? It's time for Gowdy to go away.

Robo has trouble making sense. Comey says he will gladly testify in front of the vestiges of the Repub house, as long as it is done in public, so all can hear. If it is justice and information Gowdy ia after, it can be done in public. But he wants it done in secret so he can spin. Robo claims Comey will take the 5th. He bases that on what he pulled out of his sphincter. What a fantasy post this was. Public is better for clarity and fact.
What is cowardly is the Repubs fear to do it in front of the people.

it would seem pretty simple.......if Comey thinks Gowdy is lying he would hold a press conference and say "Gowdy is lying about my testimony"........

It is simple. Hold the hearing in public. Nothing simpler than that. No presser needed. We would all know exactly what went down. Why do rightys fear the sunlight?

Well then you rightys would win and you could point that out until your fingers fall off. You are right, a public hearing is the best for all. I agree, Gowdy is wrong and so were you. But now you see how it would be better if all the people could watch in real time.

That's why Gowdy offered Comey that the hearing be transcribed for all of the media to and people to see with only any classified materials redacted. Your argument doesn't hold water. You hated Comey when he reveled, (without any authority), Hillary Clintons felonies, (the reason Trump fired his low-life ass), But now you love the creep because he's scared to death and trying to avoid to tell the truth to a Congressional hearing about how HIS FBI and the OBummer Justice Department conspired with the Clinton team to frame Donald Trump..

Open hearings simply are bleeping "FACE TIME" for bleeping politicians and some jerk off witnesses like Comey to grandstand. I prefer closed hearings that eliminate that and also afford every congressman/woman on the committee to question "AT LENGTH" without the 5 minute time restriction and I also agree with Gowdy that all closed hearings should be transcribed and released to the public and the media with only classified materials redacted. So what's your problem with that? That's actually the best of all worlds. Seems only you and yours and Comey are afraid of that situation.
