And I am simply showing him that - like 'em or hate 'em - the average EV vehicle requires FAR, less maintenance than the average ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicle of similar size, weight and power.
I agree with that.
I think the government should stay the FUCK out of the ENTIRE auto market (as well as the ENTIRE economy).
I despised the fact that Tesla was given huge breaks by the Obama government.
And the tax breaks are ludicrous.
The average person that buys an EV is upper middle class to wealthy.
Thus, these EV tax breaks are tax breaks for the wealthy.
However?
I LOVE the performance of EV's.
The instant, throttle response.
I love the low maintenance.
The environmental part is fine - though that matters little to me.
But they are too expensive right now for most people.
However, I believe when and if GM can/will build a solid EV (like the Chevy Bolt) for $20K?
They will have a HUGE hit on their hands.
Without ANY silly, tax breaks.
