No, they don't believe in the "SAME GOD" and it's impossible to reconcile the contradictions. It's not a matter of them believing in the same God with different interpretations, that is the case with the Jews and Christians. The Islamic "interpretation" is, that Jews and Christians are liars, who have lied about God, and they must all die. Islam doesn't believe in a God of peace, tolerance, love, humanity, and forgiveness... they worship a God who is pleased by death, destruction, hate, revenge and intolerance.

Both Christians and Muslims believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. Jews do not. OMG that MUST mean Jews also don't believe in the same God as Christians because HOW could GOD allow such a severe discrepancy to occur?

As for the prophecies in the OT.... the MESSIAH is prophesied..... DO show us where JESUS was prophesied in the OT? What... you can't do it? NO WAY! Not at all hard to reconcile the contradictions between Jews and Christians, they merely have a different interpretation of the same god, which can't be the same deity as Islam worships. They both believe in the Hebrew story of Abraham and his sons, and their history predates Islam by several centuries, of which time, Muslim worshiped multiple Gods, Allah being one of them. Early Muslims were taught that Allah was superior to all other Gods, THE God... this is where the misnomer comes from, that Islam worships the same God as Jews and Christians, and from the unsubstantiated claim from Mohamed to be a descendant of Ishmael, son of Abraham. It's akin to some hippie nutjob in San Francisco proclaiming he is Jesus who has returned to Earth... There is no basis on which to believe Mohamed is the descendant of Abraham, and the supposed genealogy presented, doesn't comport with rationality.
