Because the black church, which is largely homophobic and anti-gay, played a pivotal role in Prop. 8 going forward. Fortunately, given the Eddie Long scandal, that mindset is changing.

I can't speak for Latinos. The US has progressed and its' attitudes toward gays have changed and moderated over time.
Christophobic? Even if it were a word, I detected your meaning. Again, I am not discussing my faith with the likes of you. I'm a Christian, and that's all you need to know.

If "homophobic" is a word, then "Christophobic" is a word.

You say you're a Christian, yet you will not accept the scriptures in your New Testament that condemn homosexuality.

what? aren't you claiming that because jesus didn't expressly say anything against it, then that must mean he isn't against it? i think it is a fair question to ask if he said anything in support of it.

Homosexuality is sin in the scriptures, Old and New Testament. Jesus never permitted anything that was written in the scriptures as sin. Jesus also gave the conditions for marriage in Matthew 19... man and woman.

It's not a tough question; it's a BS question. Jesus didn't talk about homosexuality - clearly, it wasn't a huge issue with him. Listening to some who call themselves Christians (and again - let's not forget the 1st part of that word), you would think that you'd open up the NT & find him ranting against homosexuality for pages & pages.

Try to come up w/ a real question now.
