There's good reason to use Newton for firing probes at planets: it works. You could do all the calculations relativistically, but it would be easier to make a mistake, since there are a lot more bits to track, and in the end, assuming you got it all right, your probe would arrive at the same place.Ironically, apart from the computer tech much of the science is ‘dated’.
They still use Newton’s physics to aim space craft at planets. They don’t make scientists like they used to.
In contrast to this, your humble phone must correct timestamps from GPS satellites correcting for both special and general relativity in order to give you directions to the local store. Somehow I find that amusing. Newton could get us to the Moon and send robots to Mars, but we need Einstein to get to the nearest gas station.
