Science

Ironically, apart from the computer tech much of the science is ‘dated’.

They still use Newton’s physics to aim space craft at planets. They don’t make scientists like they used to.
There's good reason to use Newton for firing probes at planets: it works. You could do all the calculations relativistically, but it would be easier to make a mistake, since there are a lot more bits to track, and in the end, assuming you got it all right, your probe would arrive at the same place.

In contrast to this, your humble phone must correct timestamps from GPS satellites correcting for both special and general relativity in order to give you directions to the local store. Somehow I find that amusing. Newton could get us to the Moon and send robots to Mars, but we need Einstein to get to the nearest gas station.

Not really. Most "peer" review is cursory and poorly done. Science, like any field, often takes liberties and shortcuts in what it does.

In fact, since computer programs that check for plagiarism, fraud, and other issues in submitted scientific papers have come available, the number of papers retracted has skyrocketed by over ten times what it previously was.

So, if you think that because a paper was peer reviewed and published it's the equivalent of gospel from god, it isn't. It could be nothing but useless crap printed in some useless journal.
"Cursory and poorly Done" leaves the impression that the problem is lack of competence or lack of effort which is not correct.....it is corruption that hobbles Peer Review....it has become an active program to kill new and often better ideas, and to ruin the careers of those who insist upon bringing unwanted ideas, for the crime of lack of conformity to the orthodoxy.

Two anti-sciencers arguing about why science is bad. LOL

Obviously you have no understanding of what science is about or the scientific method.

Sock puppeteers are often mentally ill or mentally retarded, so don't feel bad. It's not your fault.

I probably understand the scientific method better than you. I forgive your stupidity

Its not about the speakers....it is about True/Not True.....as you were supposed to know.

And I am not against science....I am against broken deeply corrupt science which has failed society to catastrophic result.

I mean, can we at least agree that Trump is NOT any kind of authority, on anythng remotely related to medicine, healthcare or science?

Truth be told, I don't think I'd even trust him on real estate advice.

It is about Truth, not opinion. The anti-sciencers are posting opinions and haven't posted any evidence backing up their opinions and conspiracy theories.

Well, um...he is the President right now.

I always am a bit bemused by "why is he such a focus? Leave him alone!" kinds of thoughts....

Trump has nothing to do why why science is so broken, and has been getting increasingly broken over the last many decades...please try to focus.

Your education was always your problem, and when you run your mouth clearly having no idea what is going on you look foolish.

This problem is for you to fix.

And there it is. LOL. Thanks for the "science" briefing. Others now have evidence you never passed Science 101.

We've had a few thousand years of human history to evaluate this, and here's the scoop: science is a good thing. Without it, we've had periods like the Dark Ages. Science has saved a whole lotta people, given us an amazing standard of living, and for you space buffs out there, has even put us on the moon.

Real estate dudes don't really know science. They know real estate. Same with most other people who have expertise in a given area, but haven't really studied science, medicine or any other field in depth.

Let's keep going w/ science. It really is the better option.

Is a political dolt who's accomplished little a science expert too?
