Ryder Cup @ Bethpage Black

No doubt. I have a couple of buddies there sending picks, it’s awesome.

No bueno early, we’re getting our butts kicked.
Being a public course makes it all the sweeter. If I remember correctly, the rough is something special.

*ss kicking in Aisle 4. :(

(Hopefully the momentum from that last match carries over to the afternoon.)

Now did you have to get up at before dawn to check it out?
I'm usually up by 5am each day to work out but I couldn't set the alarm for 4am, haha. I have a couple of buddies that attended who were sending pictures, it looked awesome.

Better showing in the afternoon but America still behind. Need to come hot tomorrow.
No late night Kimmel for you tonight, you got a busy morning, get the DVR ready

Obviously, like to see the Americans win, Bradley is a fan favorite in person, but like to see Mcllory, Lowry, and Fleetwood do well, especially if competing against DeChambeau

Always thought they should open it up to another team, eliminate the President’s Cup. Tough with three teams but there are ways to make it work

Been to Bethpage three times, for one Open, a lesser tournament, and to drop someone off. The Black course challenging, even have a sign up recommending scratch players only.

Been to one Ryder Cup, and it is different than a regular tournament in terms of viewing, other than Sunday, there only a set number of matches occurring at one time so the crowd seems constantly moving. Kudos to your friends, it wasn’t a cheap ticket

I just can’t do Bradley because he’s always wearing that Red Sox cap. I know he’s often a fan favorite but my dislike of Boston super sees everything else.

Bryson’s kind of had an interesting journey where it seems like he was universally disliked and now he’s a huge fan favor and most places

Well, that’s pretty cool. Ryder Cup is so unique because there’s no really no other golf viewing experience like it. maybe the president’s cup a bit.

I didn’t see the actual dollar amount, but my understanding is the black course is relatively affordable at least for New Yorkers. I mean, that’s cool although I’m sure it contributes to huge demand.

Bethpage is a public golf course, with five courses, cost based upon difficulty. They range in costs, weekdays from $70 for the black to $38 for the Red for New York residents, and it has Veterans/Seniors discounts. New York Park’s have 28 public courses across the State, majority are good courses

Good luck getting on the Black course. All State courses have an assigned time to book on line, and the Bethpage courses tee times are gone ten minutes later

Gotten very interesting

And let’s hope you didn’t yesterday start those Irish coffees early

I didn’t watch any golf today…just football. So irritated by Friday and Saturday.
As bad as the first two days were, that's how good today was. The first two matches ended with Young and Thomas making birdie putts on 18 to win their respective matches. People were going nuts!

As bleak as it was, there was a point where there was a path to victory. Didn't happen, but it was a rush.
