Russia resorts to 'highly inaccurate' weapon after running out of options

Only partially true. The Kh 22 could also be used to deliver a nuclear warhead against an area target like a city. The improved Kh 32 could be used against a target like an individual ship or large building like say, a power plant, as it has better accuracy and would be effective with a conventional warhead.

It sounds to me like the Russians are just firing off whatever they have laying about because firing off older, obsolete or obsolescent missiles and such is cost effective for them. They're paid for long ago and using them up this way really costs little or nothing.

This week, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace announced the UK is equipping Ukraine with an M270 multiple-launch rocket system.

He said: "As Russia's tactics change, so must our support to Ukraine."

The UK is to boost Ukraine’s fightback against Russian invaders in the eastern Donbas region by supplying highly accurate long-range rocket launchers, defence secretary Ben Wallace has announced.

Mr Wallace’s decision to supply the cutting-edge M270 multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) was co-ordinated with US president Joe Biden’s gift to Ukraine last week of the similar High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS).

The M270 can strike targets up to 80km away with pinpoint accuracy, said the Ministry of Defence.

Today’s announcement follows an appeal from Kyiv for longer-range precision weapons to defend Ukrainian forces against the heavy artillery deployed by Russia to devastating effect in the Donbas.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had confirmed the new package in a call between the two leaders on Monday.

Mr Johnson said last month that MLRS weapons were the key to helping Ukraine respond to the “very brutal” artillery assault which has allowed Russia to gain ground in the east of the country over recent weeks.

The Ministry of Defence refused to reveal how many M270s would be sent to Ukraine, citing the need to avoid giving Moscow information which might be useful to president Vladimir Putin’s troops.

The UK will also be providing M31A1 rockets “at scale”, said a spokesperson.

Ukrainian troops will come to the UK for training to use the rocket launcher, which is understood to take several weeks.

Mr Wallace said: “The UK stands with Ukraine in this fight and is taking a leading role in supplying its heroic troops with the vital weapons they need to defend their country from unprovoked invasion. If the international community continues its support, I believe Ukraine can win.

“As Russia’s tactics change, so must our support to Ukraine. These highly capable multiple-launch rocket systems will enable our Ukrainian friends to better protect themselves against the brutal use of long-range artillery, which Putin’s forces have used indiscriminately to flatten cities.”

The UK was the first European country to supply lethal aid to Ukraine, and has since provided thousands of anti-tank missiles, anti-air systems and armoured vehicles to Ukrainian forces.

From the Kerry Recruit... (Crimean war era)

Oh, there is the story that me grandfather told
As he sat by the fire all withered and old;
"Remember," says he, "that the Irish fight well,
But the Russian artillery's hotter than hell."

The Russians , no doubt, have special plans for you, maggot.

Moon likely agrees:

But herein lies the unique truth-providing value of the U.S. partnership with Saudi Arabia. Of course U.S. foreign policy is not devoted to spreading freedom and democracy and fighting despotism and tyranny in the world. How can a country that counts the Saudi monarchs, the Egyptian military junta, the Qatari slave owners, and the Emirati dictators as its closest partners and allies possibly claim with a straight face that it opposes tyranny and fights wars in order to protect democracy? The U.S. does not care, at all, whether a foreign country is ruled by democracy or tyranny. It cares about one question and one question only: whether the government of that country serves or hinders U.S. interests. .

Notably, this self-evidently manipulative propaganda — U.S. foreign policy is devoted to spreading freedom and fighting despotism — works only in the U.S., the UK and various parts of Western Europe. The rest of the world — especially those regions whose democracies have been on the receiving end of the CIA's violence and destabilization efforts — react to such claims not with gullible credulity but scornful laughter.
Americans are of course deeply ignorant.

You'd have to be totally brain-washed or the Omnipotent Oracle of Optimism to still believe that we are ' the good guys '.

We are not the good guys. We rank with the worst guys. Further- it's far easier to ' not care ' than to do anything about it.

Read the piece, it is awesome.

"This has been the central deceit shaping the virtually closed propaganda system imposed by the West around the U.S./NATO role in the war in Ukraine. If Western leaders had simply acknowledged from the start the obvious truth about their role — that they regard Russia as a geopolitical adversary and seek to exploit the war in Ukraine to weaken or even break that country — at least an honest debate would have been possible. Instead, they and their corporate media allies did what they always do whenever a new war is newly marketed: they draped it in fabricated moral fairy tales about freedom-fighting and opposition to tyranny."

Increasingly Americas pronouncements are laughed at all around the world.

Americans are so ignorant that almost none of us know this.

As the world increasingly moves into energy and food scarcity, because of America mostly, watch what happens.

Ukraine: No to the U.S.-Orchestrated Coup
https://www.laprogressive.com/war-and-peace/orchestrated-coup

The Ukraine tragedy began in February 2014 when rooftop fascist snipers opened fire on Maidan Square Kiev protestors assembled to resist the Victor Yanukovych government’s austerity measures. The fascists murdered almost 100 in cold blood, including some of their own for good measure. Yanukovych, the elected president, was instantly blamed and pilloried by the world’s corporate media, paving the political road for what followed. He fled for his life.

These facts were attested to by U.S. representative to the European Union, Victoria Nuland. They were based on her taped remarks. No one has denied them. Nuland revealed that the rooftop assassins were of the fascist Svoboda Party and Right Sector ilk and not Yanukovych’s police or military. The armed thugs had come from across Ukraine and beyond to dominate the Maidan events.

U.S. Senator John McCain shared the stage with fascist orator and Svoboda Party leader, Oleg Tyahnybok, while Nuland handed out U.S. friendship cookies. McCain roused the crowd with promises of “democracy, freedom and independence,” contingent, of course, on Ukraine’s reversing the government’s already-approved bail out agreements with Russia.

McCain was not as bad as the Clintons, but he sure tried.

Such a load of crap. The Ukrainian's are kicking Russia's ass despite Russian's superior numbers and firepower. You, like the rest of us should be praising the Ukrainians and their efforts.

But no - you look for the most harmful thing to say - something you hope will inflict pain. Then, when people ask you to elaborate you either ignore or troll them. Why? You are not smart enough to think more than oone step ahead.

You are a terrible community member here.
