I mean, I'd say, get the vaccine as soon as you possibly can, but still limit your activity outside the house and wear masks because the vaccine is not 100% effective and BEST CASE we are talking 6.4M people in the US for whom the vaccine won't work.

Pfizer is 94% effective after the second shot / Moderna is 95% and has said their vaccine prevents shedding.

Even if there is shedding the viral load would have to be large enough in the nose or respiratory system.
