You know, it's not really the party in and of itself.... it's what the party has been bastardized into. I used to be GOP. up until '07. That's right.... from 1983-2007, I was a Republican. Until they started with the RINO bullshit.... the thought that if one doesn't tow the party line across the board... that they aren't REALLY a Republican. This mindset... that I call the TRAILER TRASH mindset, is one that I cannot live by.

I do believe that population + limited natural resources= the downfall of the human race. Therefore Contraceptives and yes, even the abortion of unplanned, and more importantly....UNWANTED pregnancies should be allowed(within reason). I believe that homosexuality should be embraced as a norm in our society....Not Pedophilia....not Bestiality...but homosexuality in and of itself.

I believe that in the final 6 months of our lives, palliative care should be the norm. To extend life beyond this diagnoses is not only giving the patient false hope, but wasting valuable resources for those that may have a chance. Of course there are exceptions.... but really? Is it worth extending the life of a person who already has a death sentence for a year or two at the expense of saving a dozen or more who have a lesser diagnosis, but lack the ability to pay?

Personally? if it came between me living a year or three longer and giving another person a REAL chance at long term survival, I'd gladly die as my condition warrants, if it can be kept as pain free as possible.

Because it gives an equally qualified candidate for a job a chance that without it would probably go to the white guy.

This is utter bullshit. First of all if you are worried about over population, you can remove yourself from the equation and we would be minus 1. A step in the right direction if you ask me. Second, I always love how the most ardent supporters of killing babies happen to have already managed to vacate the birth canal and whose mothers CHOSE life.

Lastly, you can't say what you would do if you were given a chance at hanging onto life and do you really want someone else making that decision for you? Do you really think it will be objective? You are deluding yourself if you think it would be. I have seen many people talk a tough talk like you then when push came to shove grasped at every straw trying to cling to life.

Take Rune for example. He has said he has heart failure. It is pretty much a death sentence. Every day his heart grows weaker and weaker. Some say it is as close to experiencing drowning without being in the water. The only thing that will extend his life would be a heart transplant, or costly medications. Should we tell Rune, "sorry, no more treatment for you. Your ejection fraction is less than 10%"

As much of a scumbag as I think Rune is, I wouldn't want to see that happen.

So spare me your faux altruism. We all know what you would do if faced with those issues.

BTW are we done talking about minimum wage now?

2. Again: No two people are equally qualified, since everyone is unique, so your scenario of white and black candidates being exactly equal is not possible. What AFF does is put a lesser qualified candidate ahead of another, simply because of his color.

So tell me again, how is this a level playing field?

That is the lie they tell themselves to hide their true motives. The truth is that AA exists for two reasons.

1) It helps fuel the negro grievance industry
2) It helps liberals feel good about themselves and assuage their guilt over their racist past

It is a sham and they know it
 
AA actually forces HR departments and hiring managers to objectively identify and quantify detailed skill sets required for jobs being externally advertised. And... Those same folks are forced to develop a mechanism to objectively and fairly grade each applicant on how well they can perform those various skills. And... Those same folks are forced to document those grades and use them to make their hiring decisions. That prevents bigoted racist managers from picking the white guy just because he thinks he might be able to work better with him. If the skill sets are well defined and explicit, if the grading criteria is transparent and adhered to, and if the process is well documented, then there are very few instances of equally qualified applicants... The better applicant will be apparent and should be hired, regardless of color... And that process would be in compliance with AA.

It's not quotas. Any employer who has a well documented process - from where and how they advertise the job, to documenting reasonable and appropriate skill sets, to developing objective applicant evaluation criteria, and then using that criteria to make a hiring decision - will find the best applicant and can, and should, hire them regardless of skin color.

A. First off...I don't condone abortion. I've said it many times on here....but I do believe it should be kept legal....which is all I said in my post.

B. You fucking pussy. You talk a big game about your Christain faith. Why are you so afraid to die? I've never seen such a bunch of pantry waist faux Christians in my life. When my time comes, I don't want drastic measures and I have a living will to help make sure that doesn't happen.

Why wouldn't it be objective? What do you think the determining factor will be, if not scientifically based evidence as to the current prognoses of a given ailment?

As far as Rune goes? Why are the medications so expensive? We as citizens helped defray the cost of R&D of those medications through tax breaks(that we have to pay for) to Big Pharma and private donations to entities like the American Heart Association, who in turn help fund that research. Take that shit up with the Pharmaceutical Companies who have a monopoly in this country...and lobby like hell to keep their gravy train rolling.

I feel bad for anyone who's suffering. Congestive Heart Failure is no joke. But it is treatable and curable via transplant. That's NOT what I was talking about. I am talking about incurable, terminal diseases in which there is no hope for recovery. Furthermore, I am talking about end stage care....not a person who has say...a localized tumor that hasn't spread. I am talking about people who....no matter what intervention is done...are going to die in a relatively short span of time.

Again, you show your ignorance. A transplant is not a cure for heart failure. There is no cure. A transplant is trading one disease with another. It is a lifetime of meds and tests etc, etc. Please stop talking about shit you know nothing about.

The HR departments or the hiring managers are doing it wrong if there is EVER a hiring decision to pick anyone other than the most qualified. AA does not require hiring less than the most qualified person.
 
Unless, of ourse, managers like you place hidden qualifications on jobs such as, they gotta be white like me. THEN, hiring the most qualified is illegal.
