Paul Pelosi got a reasonable sentence

Is that so Dr. Walt? Alcohol leaves the body at an average rate of 0.015 g/100mL/hour, which is the same as reducing your BAC level by 0.015 per hour. For men, this is usually a rate of about one standard drink per hour.

His time in the hoosegow spanded midnight. That gave him credit for two days even though it was literally two hours. He got two days credit for "good behaviour" and one day credit his final day will involve court appointed community service. Paul Pelosi did not sit behind bars for 48 hours.

I hope his community service isn't talking at an AA meeting.......the last thing an alcoholic should hear is that if you drive drunk the worst that can happen is that you have to give a speech......

Following California's wokeness, Pelosi was driving an evil gasoline powered vehicle. Had it been an EV, he would be lauded as a good planet loving citizen.

There has been a lot of alt right lying about what happened to Paul Pelosi, but the truth is far more boring.

Pelosi had a blood alcohol reading of 0.082%, which is just barely above 0.08%. Had he fought the reading, there is a real chance he could have gotten it thrown out. He was not falling down drunk, he was buzzed. He should not have been driving, and he admitted that. Rather than use his wealth and contacts to get out of it, he plead guilty.

He was sentenced to 5 days in jail and 3 years probation. That is a little harsher than usual, but basically standard. For those who claimed he would use contacts to get out of charges... He is spending time in jail.

I bet he's happy to be away from that thing!

The blood was drawn over two hours after the wreck. So there is no doubt it was considerably higher at the time of the wreck. Plus hospital chemistry machines are very accurate. So if I was on a jury he wouldn't have gotten away with it. Plus time served for literally two hours at the jailhouse is pretty light. He got basically a slap on the wrist for accident that could have easily resulted in a death. Pretty much what I thought he would get.

1) You have no idea his BAC at the time of driving. It depends on the time of his last drink and when he peaked. He could have been higher, lower, or the same.

2) You’re not on a jury and he didn’t “get away with it”. He pleaded guilty.

3) “Could have” doesn’t count. There was no death.

The sentence is pretty typical for a first time offender.

Do you ever shut the fuck up, pompous windbag?

Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s multi-millionaire husband’s blood alcohol content was likely much higher at the time of the accident that led to his DUI arrest than the official results of his blood test due to a delay of more than two hours before it was administered.

Paul Pelosi was first taken to a local hospital after the collision between his 2021 Porsche and another vehicle on Memorial Day weekend, giving him valuable time to sober up prior to his arrival at a Napa County jail, according Fox News Digital, which reported that authorities confirmed that the 82-year-old stock picking marvel was examined at Queen of the Valley Hospital for any potential injuries, “a routine step in a serious motor vehicle crash, according to the sheriff’s department.”

On May 28 at or around 10:17 pm, a caller to 911 emergency services first reported the accident that took place about 5 miles from Pelosi’s sprawling vineyard estate, according to a criminal complaint, with medics and Napa deputies arriving first on the scene although the incident was handled by the California Highway Patrol.

“Records show CHP officially arrested Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, at 11:44 p.m., before they took the blood sample at their Napa office,” Fox News reported. “Police obtained the sample at 12:32 a.m. on May 29, 2 hours and 15 minutes after police received the 911 call. The result found his BAC to be .082%.”

According to Fox News, “Pelosi is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds, according to the criminal complaint. But the human body burns off alcohol at a standard rate of about .016% per hour, regardless of a person’s size, according to legal and medical experts. At the time of the crash, Pelosi’s BAC was likely higher than at the time of the test.”

“California lawyers are well aware that blood alcohol is [metabolized] at a fixed rate, so much per hour,” according to a retired attorney who spoke with Fox News Digital. “So the 0.82% of alcohol in Mr. Pelosi’s bloodstream hours after the crash can easily be converted to a substantially higher BAC at the time of the crash.”

There is no “standard rate” of elimination. Even if you accept that 0.016 per hour for two hours, it adds 0.032 to his BAC. Clear up to a 0.11-0.12. Big fucking deal. The penalty is the same.

So what was it likely at time of the crime? I am sure that they have charts for this.

You Sir are a liar.

It’s very likely his BAC was at or very near to (and I mean higher than) .10 at the time of the wreck. For some people, 2 drinks can put you over .08. Did he refuse the roadside breathalyzer? Just another rich drunk jackass who cheated the hangman twice in one night.
