Paul Pelosi got a reasonable sentence

Every time anyone drives, they could have killed another driver. The law does not punish what could have happened, but did not.
They don't total two cars every time they drive. Paul Pelosi was staggering at the wreck scene the CHP was concerned that he would fall (on cruiser cam)

The judge who gave the husband of the Speaker a super light sentence, is probably a Pelosi Democrat.

Special treatment for the husband of the Speaker.

Mr. Pelosi, along with anyone who drives impaired, causes more carnage and deaths than one can fathom.

Because Walty is a drunk.

Appears so.

The drunk, Mr. Pelosi, was given a slap on the hand due to his PI with his wife, the Speaker.

DUI or DWI Punishments and Penalties - Nolohttps://www.nolo.com › legal-encyclopedia › dui-or-dw...
In most states, a first-offense DUI or DWI is classified as a misdemeanor and punishable by no more than six months or a year in jail. However, in a few states, ...

Penalties for Drunk Driving in California. A person who is convicted of a first DUI faces imprisonment in a county jail for 96 hours to six months and is subject to pay a fine of $390 to $1,000. The driver's license suspension period is six months.

There has been a lot of alt right lying about what happened to Paul Pelosi, but the truth is far more boring.

Pelosi had a blood alcohol reading of 0.082%, which is just barely above 0.08%. Had he fought the reading, there is a real chance he could have gotten it thrown out. He was not falling down drunk, he was buzzed. He should not have been driving, and he admitted that. Rather than use his wealth and contacts to get out of it, he plead guilty.

He was sentenced to 5 days in jail and 3 years probation. That is a little harsher than usual, but basically standard. For those who claimed he would use contacts to get out of charges... He is spending time in jail.

Good for him. Most ppl would have gotten a lawyer and had it pled down to a traffic ticket. I know several ppl who were busted with higher BACs than that who did exactly that so have no DUI on their record. Mr. Pelosi did right.

So why are you whining and impotently groaning, pEarl? He got five days in jail. And a fine. And has to be on probation for three years. Sounds like the law was applied fairly despite his wealth and power. Were you hoping for an execution?\

No, he spent two hours....11PM to 1AM. In jail .

Is that so Dr. Walt? Alcohol leaves the body at an average rate of 0.015 g/100mL/hour, which is the same as reducing your BAC level by 0.015 per hour. For men, this is usually a rate of about one standard drink per hour.

His time in the hoosegow spanded midnight. That gave him credit for two days even though it was literally two hours. He got two days credit for "good behaviour" and one day credit his final day will involve court appointed community service. Paul Pelosi did not sit behind bars for 48 hours.

Indeed.

He got what anyone else would have. Yes, there really is nothing to see there.

Actually it seems a little harsh. Was this not his 1st time?
