Now That's Taking the Bull by the Horn!

Really? I referred to Bush as "messiah" in posts to Dixie? Honestly?

As for the "Bush in jeans," - yeah, Dixie caught a lot of abuse for that, and I still bring it up often. It was an unabashed love letter to Bush, that he has since tried to distance himself from.

To borrow your usual logic, "If I wrote the same thing about Obama..."
Yes, if you wrote the same thing about Obama it would be merciless and you'd be called a worshiper. Anyway, Mott is using selective memory, people most definitely used "messiah" when talking about how Bush's supporters viewed him. Shoot, there's even songs about it. Look up the lyrics to "Deify" by Disturbed it makes it even clearer if you listen to the song, they even use him and his followers talking about him from clips in the song...

You didn't answer my question Damo. Would you call Obama "The Massiah" to your African American friends or aquantances?
I thought it was obvious. I would and do. I also noted that you were simply wrong, people constantly talked about Bush and his "worshipers"... There is nothing racist about pointing out that you are trying to Deify your Glorious Leader. The attempt to draw the conversation down to this level of inanity is simply a different strawman, but one that's lost its straw. It's just a shirt with a few pieces of straw still in it, moldy from the rain.

BTW - Your misspelling make me wonder if you even know what the word means...

Often people referred to him as "your messiah" (Jarod comes immediately to mind) to people who were constant apologists for Bush. Dixie specifically will remember being told that Bush was his "messiah", in that case it was often Cypress and Onceler who did it, in all the "LOL, he said he loves bush's butt in jeans" posts (I'm sure you'll remember those), it was said often.

Your selective memory only works in your own favor, if everybody's memory would work that way you might even be able to use it to your advantage, but in reality, you're just making crap up and trying to say, "But, only people who notice he's black would use 'messiah' to describe him!"

Flat out, "racist" is becoming even more worthless than throwing out "Nazi", which is a shame because there are very real racists out there and we shouldn't allow people to do this.

What about "THE GREAT LEADER"? Something like this works really good in N. Korea.

the word is MESSIAH.... not Massiah... not sure if that was deliberate on your part in a pathetic attempt to blend Messiah with Massa

Yes, I would most certainly say it to people of any color. It is not a racist comment to suggest that people worship Obama.

Oh, I use that too, and things like "Glorious People Make Glorious Homes For Homeless" when they pass things like the "Road to Home" in Denver...

Glorious People Make You Pay For Care You Don't Want was the latest of these awesome programs...
