Dixie, you're such an ignorant hack. I mean you just make this shit up. There was a fleet of USCG ships on the way within minutes of the explosion. BP lied to them and said they had it under control, then the mother fucker sank taking 11 people with it. Then they fucking lied about the scope of the damage and how much oil was flowing from the well head. The fucking USCG sent in a fucking fleet, not a ship, or two, nearly their entire fucking Gulf Fleet, not to mention a myriad of private vessels. It was, the largest response to an environmental incidence in US history. I mean this is about like arguing with you on evolution or the Iraq war, two other topics in which your partisan hacker sent you to dizzing heights of bufoonary in which you were wrong on every position and point you made. All the whole time you evade the essential question. How the fuck would you stop a blown well head gusher a mile under the sea?

I don't know, I am not supposed to know, I am a stupid dumb hick from Alabama, remember? I am too stupid to manage my own goddamn health care, how the fuck am I supposed to know how to stop an underwater oil leak? That's what Big Brother is for, that's why we pay taxes, so GOVERNMENT can take care of those things, because GOVERNMENT is smarter and knows better than us dumb hicks! At least that is what you have been preaching and teaching the past decade!

As it turns out, GOVERNMENT is clueless, they don't have an answer, they don't know how to stop the leak, and apparently, all they can do is impose EPA regulations and get in the way, or TALK about what they are going to do! Still evading the question Dixie? How are they supposed to stop the blown well? Please tell us? Try telling me, an industry insider, who's working for a company that has resources on-site and has since the first few days after the blow out, that the government has just sat by cluelessly issuing regulations and just getting in the way. Yea you got it right, your a clueless twit from Alabama and you don't have that first foggiest clue, not only of what is going on down there, but the degree and scope of the Federal involvement in terms of man power and assets, not to mention the private sector response. I will repeat, this has been the largest federal response to an Environmental disaster is US history and has been since virtually the beginning. You have no fucking idea what the scope of this disaster is or how large this response has been, do you?

Please tell me, what assets has the Government responded with? How many ships? What role has the USCG played? What role have private contractors played in not only trying to contain and stop the oil but in the remediation and incidence response? How many of these private contractors are involved? What roles and responsibilities have they played? You don't have the first foggiest notion do you?

You're just an arm chair hack wanting to take shots. Well all I can say, is, thank God GWB isn't in office cause he'd have probably sent the USCG home and sent in Michael Brown with a no bid contract for Haliburton to manage the situation.

Having worked with the USCG and knowing that they are the best environmental incidence response organization in the entire world, I can only thank God above that we have a man with the talents of Thad Allen in charge and not some political hack or fellow oil man GWB would have sent in.
 
I'm glad it's not just me that's pissed. All the dem talking heads were pissed at the lack of specifics. He is looking like this generations Jimmy Carter "beloved by libtards" laughed off by normal people. He better hope for a booming economy in 11 & 12 or his ass is back to community organizing.

The gusher will take multiple steps to stop, but in the meantime only you beloved messiah can overrule the EPA and allow BP to actually pick up the oil and treat the water to something less than an impractical 15 ppm. He won't either because he's an idiot or because he wants to take advantage of this crisis and ban offshore drilling, further destroying the US economy.

1) yes, it has been established that they had no contingency plan in place for such an occurrence. Hence the 'try anything and everything' approach they are taking

2) Yes, the Government is responsible for oversight. But the company is responsible for following regulations.

I've also pointed out the error of your argument. NPDES doesn't apply to spill situation. You're approach is an impractical and unworkable suggestion and the 15 ppm TPH CWA limit is a strawman. If that were the case they wouldnt' be burning the shit.
