No Christmas For Ivanka.

Jesus tried to remain non political

He stood against the fleecing of people trying to perform their religious rights

That was why he was murdered by an organized religious structure which found ways to make bank from organized religion

Jesus agreed with me on many things

He was a great philosopher
When did Jesus last agree with you, dear? In bed last night?

That wasn't one of those Exorcist things, was it?

Oh, yeah?

He commanded us to help the poor, went nuts in a Bank, rode on a Donkey representing a peaceful kingdom & told us to get rid of weapons like swords.

Shows how far typical Republicans are from Jesus.
...and you, Witold. Look at how far you are from Christ.

Notice the ones most against Christ are the ones most against racism too?

Like the Synagogue of Satan, LGBTQ, and Atheists

Is that how you justify your racism, kid? Through Polish Catholicism? You're the one who said Christmas was just another day to you.

A mistelling of history at best. Christmas is a Christian holiday. Elements such as the Christmas tree and nearness to the Winter Equinox have pagan origins. Not the first time mankind has "culturally appropriated" another culture for their own purposes.

It certainly wasn't a Medieval version of "fake news" or salesmanship. It was a social evolution of cultures melding together.
Yes, if you wanted the other guys to come on board more readily you allowed them their Yule log. It benefited you in the long run.

No fucking idiot

Your theory is no better than your racist theories

I've come closer to believing in Santa Claus a little more so than a God- or a Virgin Mary!

ponder life. think of the order in the cosmos, and the order in your body own microbiology.
all working flawlessly over eons of time

If that isn't done by a creator/force it's one heck of a happenstance!

While that's logical, it's not a controlled sociological experiment meaning it's planned that way. It's just a natural adaptation. Kinda like how Congress used to work when Reagan and Tip O'Neil could work together to get things done.

I’m sorry, I disagree, in my reading, there are many instances that it was planned and controlled.

We're talking about thousands of years worth of various religions all with a commonality: recognizing the major seasons for different reasons. Spring often sees various fertility rights hence the conflation of bunnies and an ancient execution.

I don't see anywhere in the history.com link that there was a concerted effort by Rome to merge Teutonic or Celtic tree worship with Christmas. :p

It appears we can blame the Protestants as history's biggest tree killers:

https://www.history.com/topics/christmas/history-of-christmas-trees
Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition as we now know it in the 16th century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes. Some built Christmas pyramids of wood and decorated them with evergreens and candles if wood was scarce. It is a widely held belief that Martin Luther, the 16th-century Protestant reformer, first added lighted candles to a tree. Walking toward his home one winter evening, composing a sermon, he was awed by the brilliance of stars twinkling amidst evergreens. To recapture the scene for his family, he erected a tree in the main room and wired its branches with lighted candles.
