It is pointless to exchange with a gun hugger on gun reform,

Our culture of violence, worship of war, equating weapons with strength and reason with weakness... and most of all.... the mis-interpretation of the 2nd Amendment.

The mis-interpretation of the 2nd amendment ?....are you seriously gonna try to tell us the 2nd Amendment has been mis-interpretated for almost 250 years ???
and you've finally come along to tell us what it really, really means ?

No, it has only been "misinterpreted" since the Roberts Court, the prior 225 years the Court got it right, it was Scalia's Court that threw out all the prior precedents and decided to go on their own

Didn't I mention, gun huggers don't understand the Constitution nor even the Second Amendmemt they supposedly worship?

i can name at least one Supreme Court case that specifically lists the right to bear arms as an individual right, can you?

Guns are already regulated, hand guns are responsible for the vast majority of gun homicides not the so called "assault weapons," when you people say gun reform and regulation we all know what you really mean are gun bans and as per usual you intend to use the corpses of dead children as your soap box to push your anti-Constitutional agenda.

Predictable, regurgitating the NRA's talking point, "any gun regulation is really banning and confiscating guns," old

That wasn't an insult, truth, have you ever seen an arguement supporting guns that falls outside of the parameters I noted above?

And gun huggers don't want to address guns, conservatives are more interested in spreading guns, look at the gun carry reciprocal legislation they just snuck thru the House, they have no interest in any measure of any kind that could help alleviate gun violence or school shootings if it means taking a serious look at regulating weapons, weapons of any kind

As I said, pointless

Calling people "gun huggers" isn't an insult? I'll bet you thought the "basket of deplorables" comment from Hillary was, el mucho no problemo.

How in the hell does "boys in girls bathrooms" cause someone to purchase an AK15 to massacre seventeen kids in a school?

You must validated my point about exchanging with gun huggers on gun reform is a waste of time

I'd still like to know what an AK15 is, I might want one.

Bullshit as always you sick fucks were here on day one using the corpses of dead children as your soap box to spout your anti-Constitutional agenda, get fucked.

Meaning he's got nothing to offer, any time you see the personal crapola you know their done

Aren't they? It's a religion to them, love affair, regardless of any rational arguement they cling to myths and propaganda that are irrelevant, peddled by gun manufactures making a buck off dead kids, I could have come up with really derogatory descriptions of I wanted to insult

This is how the anti-gun crowd uses data to show how evil and dangerous guns are.

"Assault by firearm is the 10th most likely cause of death in the USA, with the odds at 1 in 300. Not particularly helpful by itself, without some context.

The kinds of things that are more likely to kill you include heart disease, #1 at 1 in 6, cancer #2 and 1 in 7, stroke, #3 at 1 in 28, and suicide, #5 at 1 in 115. All of these you can do something about, especially if you're in a high risk category.

Accidental poisoning (#6 at 1 in 139) and accidental falls (#7 at 1 in 184) are remarkably more likely than most people think, given how little thought we given them.

Your risk of dying from a car accident is just a little greater than getting killed by firearm, at #8, 1 in 272. This is obviously also one where you can move yourself into a low risk category (wear a seat belt, and the four don'ts: speed, dui, drive while tired, or drive while distracted).

#9 almost seems like it should go with the suicide category, but with a 1 in 289 risk of dying from drug use it is clearly a category that's easy to avoid being a part of.

Which means that, excluding the most common natural causes of death and various kinds of accidents and means of self-harm, guns are the single most likely reason for you to die in the USA. Yay!"

So never mind that you are more likely to die of other causes if you discount those facts guns become the #1 killer. What great thinkers the anti-gun folks are.

Yeah, Heller, previous cases couldn't get beyond the prefatory clause, but Scalia thought it would be alright to just skip over it, and then he told America he was a strict constructionist

wrong again. how can you claim to understand the constitution, bill of rights, and the law when you don't even know your court cases? on top of that, the dozens of commentaries and statements from both delegates as well as popular journalists of the time to ratification and after clearly denote that the right is individual.

How many of those "other causes" have ever killed 17 kids in a school in three minutes? Fifty eight people at a concert in a few more minutes? In shopping Malls, movie theaters, nightclubs, all in the matter of minutes?

Least with Automobiles we have successful taken steps as seat belts, air bags, speed limits, etc. to bring the potential casualties down, with guns, we've made it easier

Are you pretending school shootings
haven't happened?

Not true, and you wanted a list of cases going back to 1875? I gave you the one you know, well, I assumed you knew given the others didn't decide in the way you'd prefer.

And now your telling us you know more than all of these Supreme Courts over the course of a hundred and fifty years who could never reach the conclusion you just did because of "commentators?" It ain't "commentators" that count, rather the Comstitution, and the way the Constitution is interpreted by the Court

they don't understand the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, nor the Supreme Court rulings on the Second Amendment. They generalize the whole concept of freedom, taking an complex abstraction and reducing it to a cliche that would fit a bumper sticker

They all think regulating guns means the AFT is coming to their door to confiscate their toys, they deflect with the same debunked statistical "arguments" advanced by the NRA, repeat the lame talking points they've heard from the demogogues, anticipate Attila and the Huns are planning to break in to their house, and see themselves as Chuck Norris rather than the more applicable Barny Fife

It's pointless, one of the major reasons we have 30,000+ Americans die from guns every year, and what now seems as kids getting shot in schools every other month, it has become as American as apple pie

YOU'RE A FOOL THAT PRETENDS YOU'RE IN THE KNOW, PRETENDING WHAT THE CONSTITUTION AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS SAYS

Maybe cause the Unions purpose isn't to protect that which kills people, and kills them in large numbers quickly

So you want to "protect that which kills people?" How much are you donating to Cruz's defense fund?
