No, it has only been "misinterpreted" since the Roberts Court, the prior 225 years the Court got it right, it was Scalia's Court that threw out all the prior precedents and decided to go on their own

Yeah, Heller, previous cases couldn't get beyond the prefatory clause, but Scalia thought it would be alright to just skip over it, and then he told America he was a strict constructionist

wrong again. how can you claim to understand the constitution, bill of rights, and the law when you don't even know your court cases? on top of that, the dozens of commentaries and statements from both delegates as well as popular journalists of the time to ratification and after clearly denote that the right is individual.

How many of those "other causes" have ever killed 17 kids in a school in three minutes? Fifty eight people at a concert in a few more minutes? In shopping Malls, movie theaters, nightclubs, all in the matter of minutes?

Least with Automobiles we have successful taken steps as seat belts, air bags, speed limits, etc. to bring the potential casualties down, with guns, we've made it easier

Not true, and you wanted a list of cases going back to 1875? I gave you the one you know, well, I assumed you knew given the others didn't decide in the way you'd prefer.

And now your telling us you know more than all of these Supreme Courts over the course of a hundred and fifty years who could never reach the conclusion you just did because of "commentators?" It ain't "commentators" that count, rather the Comstitution, and the way the Constitution is interpreted by the Court
