Is FL approaching herd immunity?

It seems somehow important to you that there is no herd immunity to the China Virus lol.

It seems unimportant to you that 170,000 Americans are dead due to El Trumpo failing on lockdown. Now you want to ignore all the dead folk and try to save his orange ass with this ' herd immunity ' crap.
If ever there's a proven immunity to any one strain of this virus then competent and authoritative experts will announce it. Meanwhile- let the mango moron fade away. He's done his damage- now he's done.

Websites spreading misinformation about health attracted nearly half a billion views on Facebook in April alone, as the coronavirus pandemic escalated worldwide, a report has found.

Facebook had promised to crack down on conspiracy theories and inaccurate news early in the pandemic. But as its executives promised accountability, its algorithm appears to have fuelled traffic to a network of sites sharing dangerous false news, campaign group Avaaz has found.

False medical information can be deadly; researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine have directly linked a single piece of false information to 800 coronavirus deaths.

That would be you, Daft Omar 61.

That’s actually a stupid theory lol.

Yes because you know science and stuff. Even in Florida’s hardest hit county there would have to be ten times more cases than reported to even reach 50%. The question is laughable. Florida is far more mask compliant than they were. Simple as that.

You really like you some overlords controlling what you can see, don’t lol.

When they tell you to step into the box car ‘to keep you safe’, don’t do it.

Trust me on this.

I leave medical matters to those qualified in medical matters, Daft Omar 61. Why the fuck would anybody trust a presumptive hack like you who is already around 169, 939 American deaths in error ?

You’re out of your league here lol.

Seroprevalence studies consistently show a higher number of infections than positive PCR tests for the simple reason not all infections are picked by PCR tests—probably due to the high number of asymptomatic cases and/or mild cases.

I wonder how many kids are in FL whose parents would be surprised to find out their kid was seropositive for COVID antibodies? We don’t know because they aren’t being tested. At least in any great number. I get the idea the number might surprise some people.

Also, there are studies [you like studies, right?] which suggest that COVID immunity isn’t limited to COVID antibodies: T-cells and other *pre-existent* immune components are cross reactive to the COVID virus.

Which neatly explains why so many COVID infections are mild to virtually asymptomatic. If you have another explanation I’ll entertain it.

At any rate, simply adding the prevalence of COVID antibodies in a population in with the prevalence of pre-existent anti-COVID immune factors could easily produce a nice, beefy, herd immunity number.

And it would explain FL’s drop off—better than masks.

He's just another idiot, Damo should introduce an IQ test before people can register.

Yes and nasty cunts like you couldn't give a fuck that the world economies have been destroyed and many people, maybe even more than because of the virus, will die from suicide, undetected illnesses and poverty due to the virus. If you don't like me calling you a cunt then stop being one, simples!

Holy fuck you ignorant peasant. It's one of the few issues that Ikea Starmer and BoJo agree about. Stupid arrogant fucks like you are perfectly willing to let a whole generation of poor kids miss out on education.

You poor establishment hack. Who gives a monkey's what Bozo or Starmer load their dumpsters with. Quite clearly the UK ' education ' system is run by ignorant incompetents . It has fallen apart, wealth-worshipper, and only establishment drones , such as yourself, refuse to acknowledge it . Your ' Education minister ' is presiding over the worst possible clusterfuck imaginable...............and he won't resign. You have much in common with such failures, Comrade maggot.

Got a link to an authority saying that Florida is approaching herd immunity? Or that it can be achieved with 10% of the population? Didn't think so. Because despite the fact that you have your cute little cracker jack scientist badge, you are full of shit.

do some simple research for once, instead of nasty unfounded responses

What’s slowing Miami’s COVID spread? Partial ‘herd immunity’ may play a part
https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article244930467.html#storylink=cpy

“What’s important to understand is that all of these things add up,” said Marc Lipsitch, a professor of epidemiology at Harvard’s T. H. Chan School of Public Health. “A modest amount of help from herd immunity combined with partially effective control measures, combined with the fact that it’s summer.”

But he also cautioned that the slow, downward slope of new cases in South Florida isn’t a reason to abandon any safeguards at all. The safeguards are one of the main reasons for the declines.

“Each of those is making a contribution to the trajectory in Miami and elsewhere. ... Herd immunity alone would not be enough to get us out of this pandemic at the current levels,” he said.
