I'm just not feeling it...

I support trump on prison reform and hope he follows through.

Then you're an idiot.

You're an idiot to trust in anything he says or does.

Trump lies all the time.

Conservatives lie all the time.

Yet you find yourself constantly sharing the same values, goals, and policy as Conservatives, even as you say you don't support them or Trump.

I think you're just a poseur.

I think all non-violent drug offenders should be released and we should close our prison for profit system.

Great.

Too bad Trump doesn't share those beliefs.

He just awarded massive contracts to for-profit prisons to house asylum seekers, even though seeking asylum is a legal process and detaining them is a violation of habeus corpus and the 14th Amendment.

Funny how that doesn't make its way into your posts, isn't it?

I support trump when he signed legislation allowing access to experimental medicine for terminally ill patients.

Who really benefited from that bill, though?

Was it patients? Or was it the drug companies?

Doesn't seem like you really understand that which you're talking about.

I guess you don't becaus...."orange man bad:".

I don't because hidden in the fine print, are the true intentions.

I disagree with trump on the wall. I am an open legal immigration proponent with a heavy weight on merit bases similar to canada's system but more open.

but you couldn't even bring yourself to say you agree with trump on either of these issues when he's expressed support, traditionally you and your ilk would support.

Paitents dumb dumb. experimental medicine costs millions, they are going to give it to people covered under ACA. the patients get access to medicines without having to jump through gov hoops. To think the very very small amount of people who can take advantage of this enriches big pharma, is highly ignorant. ACA is what benefited the ins companies.

The problem is, my perception of your beliefs is what you're trying to secure here.

You're trying to convince me of the sincerity of your beliefs, but how can I be convinced when you move goalposts like you did?

I am? When I say I don't care what you believe, is that what gave you that idea?

Right, but before, when you said he doesn't support for-profit prisons and that this prison reform would fix that...that sorta runs in contradiction to him awarding private prisons with contracts, doesn't it?

but you couldn't even bring yourself to say you agree with trump on either of these issues when he's expressed support, traditionally you and your ilk would support.

Because Trump lies and is insincere. So that's why I don't support anything he says or does because I KNOW he can't be taken at his word.

What hoops did they have to jump through before?

Also, most experimental medicine is funded by the NIH, which is taxpayer supported.

Of course big Pharma benefits from this bill. Hidden in the language of the bill, the drug companies get to retain their exclusive copyrights on the medicine for how many years?

ACA is what benefited the ins companies.

Oh, I totally agree that the ACA benefited insurance companies because insurance companies got tens of millions of new customers because of the ACA. But this drug bill that was passed (?); most patients already could get into trials for those meds.

And Obamacare isn't an insurance plan, it's merely an exchange where insurance companies compete with one another for customers.

Your point was that the law trump signed was bad because it benefitted the Ins companies.

I logically pointed out the folley in your opinion.

ACA mandadated you buy coverage, did it not? it was more than merely an exchange.

And no, you are wrong.

Which it does by letting them maintain their exclusivity over the medicine for an unspoken-on-your-part numbers of years.

So how does that benefit patients since the drug company has exclusivity over the medicine and can charge whatever the fuck they want for it, making it impossible for many people to afford it?

There's always the fine print hidden in Conservative bills...I'm asking if you're aware of the fine print in this one?

That's a patent issue, has nothing to do with what we are discussing.

Ahh you built a strawman!

here you go, catch up and get back to me.

I logically pointed out the folley in your opinion.

You didn't really explain how this bill gives patients access to trials (?) of meds...thing is, they have to run trials of it anyway, and those trials are almost always funded by taxpayers. So what does this bill accomplish other than letting drug companies maintain exclusivity (and thus, pricing) over the medicine once the trials are over?

CA mandadated you buy coverage, did it not? it was more than merely an exchange.

The ACA established the exchanges, from which uninsured people would select and enroll in coverage that adhered to minimum basic requirements.

Some of those people would see subsidies to help defray the cost of insurance, but that is determined by your income.

Other people could qualify for Medicaid, if the program was expanded in the state. However, most Conservatives refused to expand Medicaid which created the gap that sees millions of people unable to get coverage. So why did Conservatives refuse to expand Medicaid anyway?

That is what the ACA is...that's what it does.

And no, you are wrong.

Conservatives have never accurately described what the ACA is because Conservatives are liars who are insincere and disingenuous.

So lets cut to the chase, you are against the "Right to try bill".

here you go, catch up and get back to me.

The FDA exists for a reason. Bypassing the FDA for patients to seek experimental treatment is dangerous as shit. Also, this bill lets those companies maintain exclusivity over the patent, which means what for consumers and patients?
