You didn't really explain how this bill gives patients access to trials (?) of meds...thing is, they have to run trials of it anyway, and those trials are almost always funded by taxpayers. So what does this bill accomplish other than letting drug companies maintain exclusivity (and thus, pricing) over the medicine once the trials are over?
The ACA established the exchanges, from which uninsured people would select and enroll in coverage that adhered to minimum basic requirements.
Some of those people would see subsidies to help defray the cost of insurance, but that is determined by your income.
Other people could qualify for Medicaid, if the program was expanded in the state. However, most Conservatives refused to expand Medicaid which created the gap that sees millions of people unable to get coverage. So why did Conservatives refuse to expand Medicaid anyway?
That is what the ACA is...that's what it does.
Conservatives have never accurately described what the ACA is because Conservatives are liars who are insincere and disingenuous.
