Has the Dam broken?

Again, your response highlights the exact problem. The second someone raises a critique of the Democratic Party, even coming from liberals, the conversation goes immediately back to Trump. It's like the party's entire existence revolves around him.
How can they do anything else as he is tearing down our System.

Being on the political right in the Bay, it’s almost impossible to stay in an echo chamber. I’ve found and read real liberals who are anti-Trump but also willing to talk about the problems in their own party, and why just being anti-Trump isn’t enough.

This board isn't moving any needles in the real world but the mentality is the same. You guys all bond together being anti-Trump but it's like an unwritten code, 'we shall not speak about our own party'. Power will ebb and flow between both parties in this country, no one will dominate for long, but you guys choose to absolutely ignore your own issues which only benefits Republicans.
Both parties suck, but only one breaks the bank and has become near, to completely irredeemable.

The one time I hear California Democrats or liberals complain about the party is the accusation that they are spineless for not standing up to Trump.

The irony is that their singular focus on Trump is exactly what helped put him back in office and Republicans in control of Congress.

There aren't enough honest politicians in Congress to risk losing their jobs by doing the right thing for the nation. This includes all the MAGAts supporting their Orange Jesus and all the Democrats who fell in line when Biden broke his one-term promise.

This explains why Congress rarely does their job of legislating and simply punts to the WH or SCOTUS. Congress has a terminal case of spinelessness and assholes like Trump take advantage of that condition.

I agree with those who say the system is broken. I do NOT agree with idiots like the MAGATs and other crazies who say "Burn it down and start over."

Interesting that Trump didn't go after Cruz or Paul but I'm not sure we're quite there yet when it comes to the MAGA Congress standing up against Trump's abuse of office and anti-Constitutional actions.
If Reichwing media like Fox is silent on Cruz, Trump will ignore him too. Puppet. Strings. Marionette.

Your grapevine is on to something.

'He Fought With Us': Trump Gets Overwhelmed By Cognitive Decline, Claims Putin Led Russia In World War II At Bill Signing Ceremony

During a bill signing ceremony blocking California's emission rules several weeks ago, Donald Trump claimed that Vladimir Putin led Russia in World War II and lost 51 million people. Putin was born in 1952, years after World War II ended.

Time for Congress to get off their ass and apply the 25th Amendment.
and SOON.

After years of sycophancy, groveling, and eating crow, at least three Republican senators have publicly stood up to the TACO in Chief!

We had an unprecedented three Republican senators come out against the way Trump threatened Jimmy Kimmel. Not just any Republican senators, but Ted Cruz and Rand Paul were two of them. This has never happened before. Ted Cruz has been kissing Trump‘s ass ever since he got trounced in the Republican primary almost 11 years ago. I have never seen him take Trump on directly, and the very interesting thing was Trump did not punch back.

The American people seem to have supported Disney and ABC when they finally stood up to Trump on the Jimmy Kimmel issue. Trump has shown weakness in this event. Other smaller things like the clear, sabotage the experience at the UN, and his ineptness to do anything about it might be signaling a turn.

I’ve seen over and over again when presidents finally reach the point where their own side is willing to criticize them, they are significantly rained done. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that this is happening at the beginning of the start of a congressional election year. In a few short months, the focus will be off Trump and onto the nationwide campaign. No matter who wins the house and Senate next year, the end of that race will mark the start of the 2028 presidential primary elections.

Once a few Republicans declare, the emperor has no clothes, I think the dam will have burst. There comes a point where Trump’s power to Lord over congressional Republicans will weaken to a teeny trickle. When that happens, the resentment and anger that they have had to swallow over his treatment of them will come out with a roar.
Cruz and Paul just love to hear themselves speak. A few Senators speaking out won't do the trick. There would have to be a mass revolt before trump changes his behavior. I hope you're correct and that the revolt is coming!

Sadly too many repubs would rather be popular than do the right thing

I do not believe Trump will ever change, he can be stopped, but he won’t change.
