I live in Wisconsin and Wisconsin was 18 when I turned 18. A few months later it turned to 19, then a year later it went to 21.
I was grandfathered in each time.

And you sound ridiculous because the criteria for determining if a type of gun is protected by the 2nd Amendment (and thus legal for a private citizen to acquire, possess and use) is that it is of a type that is "the usual military equipment", that could be used effectively in the common defese (IOW how good it is killing people) and last but not least, in common use by the citizens. The guns known now as, "assult style", meet all protection criteria and thus are indisputably "legal" (your hyperbole and histrionics aside).

Any volunteer efforts would be coordinated with local law enforcement, as the gun free zones law allows for exceptions.

As long as the local police and school board officials consent, and as long as armed volunteers stayed outside of school grounds near the entrances and exits, I see no problems.
