Do you understand the difference between TWO emails being classified AFTER the fact and TWELVE HUNDRED emails that were classified (some after the fact, but many were cut and pasted from a classified server to a non classified so that they could be sent to Hillary)?

The con argument is that all email is "born classified", guess Powell didn't get the birth announcement.

In a letter to Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy dated Feb. 3, State Department Inspector General Steve Linick said that the State Department has determined that 12 emails examined from State's archives contained national security information now classified "Secret" or "Confidential." The letter was read to NBC News. Two of the messages were sent to Powell's personal account, and 10 were sent to personal accounts of Rice's senior aides, the letter said...

...None of the messages were marked classified when originally sent, and none were determined to include information from the intelligence community, Linick said in the document.

"They were unclassified at the time, and they are, in my judgment, still unclassified," [Powell] said.

Democrats pounced on the revelation as proof that the investigation conducted into Clinton's emails is a political witch hunt.

"My concern has been that Republicans are spending millions of taxpayer dollars singling out Secretary Clinton because she is running for President—often leaking inaccurate information—while at the same time disregarding the actions of Republican Secretaries of State," said Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, in a statement.

"In fact, none of the emails Secretary Clinton received was marked classified, and we have seen no evidence that any previous Secretary of State used an official email account."

Both Rice and Powell had gov. email address that should have been used, but they cannot
control the senders not using the correct channel's ..... its the senders that committed the wrong doing.....

Hillary had nothing but her personal email address on her OWN private server, thus by passing any government scrutiny of her communications....senders were "forced" to use her unsecured address and "forced" to by pass gov. oversight in communicating with her....

No, that is not the 'con argument'... but emails taken from the classified server and transferred to the non-classified is a problem. One you continue to pretend doesn't exist.

Just what I said, you're going to make it about the server. Are you claiming Powell's and Rice's classified email should be disregarded but Hillary should be prosecuted for hers? I mean, that double standard wouldn't surprise me.

IN fact, marked or unmarked is irrelevant and you should KNOW that.....so why keep repeating it....

These people should KNOW what subject and topics are sensitive material....if they don't, they shouldn't be in the job.....

Clinton not only received secret information, she actually SENT secret information.....that vastly different than the accusations against Powell or the aides of Rice, not Rice herself.

Not at all.....Whoever sent classified material to Powell on a personal account broke the law....knowingly or unknowingly.....
Same with classified stuff to Rice's AIDES.....

Being Sec. of State and SENDING top secret information is a different kettle of fish.....and that goes for Kerry too.....he is supposed to KNOW what is secret and top secret...

Since the investigation is still ongoing, you can't claim with certainty that he didn't send any.

Except that only applies to SOME of Hillary's emails. Which is precisely what I stated above. It does NOT apply to ALL of them. They have emails where she told her aides to delete the 'classified' tag and send it to her anyway.
