Former Repub Sec'y of State Powell got classified data on personal email account

Wrong. There was an acting IG. Harold W. Geisel, a former ambassador, served as a temporary State Department IG during Clinton’s entire time as head of the State Department.

exactly....'acting' is the pertinent word....Harold (Johnnycomelately) Geisel......

The State Department is lying when it says it didn’t know until it was too late that Hillary Clinton was improperly using personal emails and a private server to conduct official business — because it never set up an agency email address for her in the first place, the department’s former top watchdog says.
“This was all planned in advance” to skirt rules governing federal records management, said Howard J. Krongard, who served as the agency’s inspector general from 2005 to 2008.

this guy should be testifying in front of congress so at least if the FBI isn't going to do it's job, congress can.

Lol. You think I'd believe the opposition party's conspiracy theory? Get real.

Krongard stated it was obvious that Clinton did not want to be audited or subject to an internal investigation that would expose the sending of classified information over a non-secure private email server in her home. The "key" to this entire FBI investigation rests in determining how "highly sensitive state secrets in the classified network, known as SIPRnet, ended up in Clinton's personal email. According to Krongard, it doesn't "jump over" by itself -- someone had to help it.

"The starting point of the investigation is the material going through SIPRNet. She couldn't function without the information coming over SIPRNet," Krongard said. "How did she get it on her home server? It can't just jump from one system to the other. Someone had to move it, copy it. The question is who did that?"

The investigation continues....THE FBI INVESTIGATION, no opposition party is involved.

I do. And I never read Hillary's words that she wanted to bypass scrutiny of her records.

Of course you didn't ....and you won't....
You can't be so stupid as to think she gonna confess just like that......

and you're so partisan, even if she did, you wouldn't accept it......

No one will change their minds about this....you won't accept facts and I won't accept bullshit lies and excuses or the 'they did it too" crap

.....this back and forth is a waste of time....

Why does Krongard have a dog in this hunt? Is he giving his opinion or does he have facts? This sounds like supposition to me.

I do love the way you cons all came out in force to divert the thread though.

This is what YOU said, not me: She had it to purposely bypass any government scrutiny of her communications......

Do you really think she was operating as SoS for four years and nobody scrutinized her communications? You think everybody she communicated with was her friend?

you don't think he might be concerned about national security in and of itself? is it impossible for you to believe that someone might just be impartial when it comes to laws, rules, and regulations?

"After being accused of averting probes into contracting fraud in Iraq and a possible conflict of interest regarding investigations into Blackwater Worldwide, Krongard left his post on January 15, 2008, and was not eligible for retirement.[SUP]"[2][/SUP]

In a 14-page letter on September 18, 2007, House Oversight Committee chairman Henry Waxman charged Krongard with actively impeding probes into waste and corruption related to the war in Iraq and other matters.[SUP][6][/SUP] In a three page follow-up letter issued on September 28, 2007, Waxman informed Krongard that allegations of witness intimidation had been made against Krongard's staff.[SUP][7][/SUP] Aides to Krongard threatened two U.S. State Department investigators with retaliation, including termination of their jobs, if they cooperated with the investigations into Blackwater USA and Krongard, according to a report released by the U.S. House of Representatives. [SUP][8][/SUP]

Krongard directly interfered with federal prosecutors when they asked his office for help with investigating possible Blackwater arms smuggling. In an e-mail, he wrote, to his staff,
is directed to stop IMMEDIATELY any work on these contracts until I receive a briefing from the (assistant U.S. attorney) regarding the details of this investigation. SA Militana, ASAIC Rubendall and any others involved are to be directed by you not to proceed in any manner until the briefing takes place,

That was sent to a subordinate on July 11, 2007, and was disclosed by Waxman's Congressional investigation, who revealed the e-mails. Krongard denied this, however.[SUP][9][/SUP]

On November 14, 2007, Krongard testified to Congress, regarding his brother,
I can tell you, very frankly, I am not aware of any financial interest or position he has with respect to Blackwater. When these ugly rumors started recently, I specifically asked him. I do not believe it is true that he is a member of the advisory board that you stated. And that's something I think I need to say.[SUP][10][/SUP]

However, Krongard was confronted with a July 26 letter from Blackwater founder and CEO Erik Prince to A.B. Krongard asking him to join Blackwater's advisory board, followed by a September 5 letter welcoming Krongard to the board and a report from Rep. Elijah Cummings stating that A.B. Krongard had been expected to attend a Blackwater board meeting earlier that week.[SUP][10][/SUP] Krongard then called his brother during the ensuing break in the hearings and learned of this conflict of interest for the first time, saying "I'm not my brother's keeper, and we don't discuss our business with each other".[SUP][11][/SUP] He then recused himself from the investigation.[SUP][10][/SUP][SUP][11][/SUP] Democrats on the committee argued that this had a negative impact on Krongard's credibility, which also cast doubt on his denials of the accusations of interfering with Justice Department investigations of Blackwater and other State Department contractors.[SUP][11][/SUP] Committee chairman Henry Waxman issued a memorandum[SUP][12][/SUP] summarizing the discrepancies between the two brothers' recollections of what they told each other.

and this prompts you to disbelieve that hillary had no ulterior motives in private server usage? because he seemingly covered and averted probes in to republican skirting, he can therefore not be trusted about possible democrat skirting? it's no wonder we the people keep losing our freedoms to an establishment government as you proles continue to fight over which side is less evil.

why was he not prosecuted for lying to congress?
