Democratic lawmakers vote to release former President Trump’s tax returns

Well Pimp does after all, hold a Juris Doctorate.

Saved up a hundred gum wrappers to get it, too.

No small feat, that.

when you guys get done holding each other's dick you can get on the internet and find something to explain how the committee avoids violating the statute if they release Trump's tax returns to the public.....

The link is not wrong it's just not applicable.

It says in his link that no federal employee, officer or any other person can release someone else's tax return.

That is the gist of the wording of the statute he's basing his argument on.

I pointed out to him that Congress, specifically the House Ways and Means Committee, are not considered an employee, officer, or a person.

It is a government body or entity, that has powers above and beyond that of individuals.

But of course, Pimp doesn't want to be reasoned with.

He would rather desperately cling to his fast fading hope that something or someone will somehow step in and save his orange clown hero from the destruction and ruin that looks to be heading in his direction.

as I pointed out before, the problem with your argument is that the SC has previously determined that the statute applied to the IRS, which is obviously just as muchh a government entity as the committee is......

Okay. So you think they are dumb.

no....I think that they haven't spoken regarding it yet.......unless you have evidence otherwise.......generally the SC doesn't speak on a matter until someone asks them to.......do you think someone might seek a court order preventing the committee from releasing the documents?.......

And yet nobody in the entire country of America spoke up except you? You have a huge ego.

Again, do your civic duty. Stop posting here and contact them right now.

If Trump's returns are so sacred, why did the SCOTUS end up allowing the IRS (or the Treasury Dept to be precise) to release them to Congress?

Once the SCOTUS allowed them to be released to Congress that opened the door for Congress to make them public.

Because as you said, they are both government entities, so what applies for one, applies for them both.

The question of how private Trump's returns should be, was put before the highest court in the nation and they decided that his returns for the years he was President, were open to public scrutiny.

As they should be.

The President of the United States should not be able to hide his financial dealings from the public.

It's not that difficult to understand.

???....you think I'm the only person in the country that says they can't?.......

No, the rest of the brainwashed, braindead Trumper zombies says it too.

But nobody gives a shit what you goofballs say.

We've heard more than enough of you all's nonsense.

Time to STFU.

as already covered.....in the oral arguments before the court the committee argued that they had a constitutional obligation to see if the IRS was filling its duty to examine the tax records of elected officials........the court said, for that purpose, they had a right to the documents

absolutely not........making them public is not part of the committee's duty to regulate the IRS.......there is no to even make a rational argument that it is......
