Democratic lawmakers vote to release former President Trump’s tax returns

It barely matters now since TRump is done (he seems to not know this) but it will be interesting to see if there is anything that incriminating in these documents that have been released with the intent to abuse him. Trump runs a very clean operation so it would be a bit of a surprise.

Trump doesn’t run a clean operation as evidenced by his organization recent conviction for fraud.

That's not evidence, the legal system was used to get Trump, what he did was not unusual. So far there is no reporting of anything in his taxes that concerns me.

How the hell do you lie to the SCOTUS on legal matters?

you say in oral arguments that you are only going to use the tax documents to verify that the IRS is doing its job of examining the taxes of elected officials.......then without even examining them, two weeks later you vote to release them to the NYT for political purposes........

And you think the Justices are very dumb? And that you know better than them?

Well then do your civic duty and inform them immediately.

so you think they will just violate the law and ignore the fact they lied to the SC about what they were going to do with the tax returns?.......

The SCOTUS has already declined to enter into the matter.

It's a done deal.

Apparently they don't feel they were lied to.

But your desperation is amusing if nothing else.

Well Pimp does after all, hold a Juris Doctorate.

Saved up a hundred gum wrappers to get it, too.

No small feat, that.

Democrats on the House Ways and Means committee voted Tuesday to release former President Donald Trump’s tax returns in a move that opponents say will have “severe consequences.”

The vote was 24-16 on a party-line basis.

The six years of returns — spanning from 2015-2020 — will be released to the public in the coming days after the documents are prepared by staffers to redact information like Social Security numbers, street addresses, and other identifying data.

The returns will be released as part of a larger committee report on the IRS practice of auditing presidents and marks the end of a long partisan battle that began when then-candidate Trump broke years of tradition by refusing to release his tax returns during the 2016 presidential campaign.

"After a long process, this was not about being punitive, this was not about being malicious," Committee chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) said Tuesday after the vote.

Cartoon Ken.You try and pass yourself off as a Veteran. You are not. Just some chickenshit democrat. Please take the time through PM to post address. You spineless never served coward. democrat of course.

Your link is wrong, and the returns will be made public very soon, just as trump promised.

The link is not wrong it's just not applicable.

It says in his link that no federal employee, officer or any other person can release someone else's tax return.

That is the gist of the wording of the statute he's basing his argument on.

I pointed out to him that Congress, specifically the House Ways and Means Committee, are not considered an employee, officer, or a person.

It is a government body or entity, that has powers above and beyond that of individuals.

But of course, Pimp doesn't want to be reasoned with.

He would rather desperately cling to his fast fading hope that something or someone will somehow step in and save his orange clown hero from the destruction and ruin that looks to be heading in his direction.

they've acted since yesterday?.....that was quick.....do you have a link?....there was nothing on google about it......
