He was unable to fight off the disease. Is that so complicated? That's why we have "immunizations." It was a sad untimely passing of this person.

Have you ever seen a death certificate? I have. My late husband was left without a patent airway for 50 minutes when he presented to the ER in respiratory failure. He was brain dead long before his heart finally stopped at the 47-minute mark. His death certificate lists his death as 1. Cardiac arrest, 2. Secondary to cerebral hypoxia.

In your example, the death certificate is likely to say 1. Cardiac arrest, 2. Secondary to [your choice of] fat embolism, exsanguination, or maybe underlying coronary artery disease. He died of the MI not the broken leg.

BTW SARS-Cov-2 not only infects the lungs but also the cardiovascular system, the kidneys, liver, blood (clotting issues).
