Bernie Is A Communist. Democratic Socialism is an Oxymoron

I forgot you were senseless. The world is dying, arsehole.

You really think so? Personally, I think the world is beautiful and bountiful.

You also seem to be a real ingrate. People have installed systems in coal plants and cars to reduce air pollution. They work and they're cheap. I myself have built systems to clean up waterways, including Puget Sound. All of these are built by global corporations.

Capitalists everywhere, and right-wing Americans from everybody, as you know. What are they stealing? Everything not nailed down, obviously - and the nails, if they can.

Capitalists are not thieves. Capitalism creates wealth. Only socialism steals wealth.

You speak of nails. Capitalism created those nails and made 'em cheap enough to buy by the pound.

True capitalism isn't being practiced in America. "CRONY" Capitalism is being practiced in America. That's when corporations write favorable legislation for themselves that eliminate competition, make them & their crony politicians rich when they pass said legislation. Socialism won't fix that, Dumping the duopoly D's & R's politicians out on their asses & replacing them regularly with honest folks would do the trick, but Americans aren't that informed, interested or politically intelligent. That's why Ben Franklin warned us that justice was ours if we could keep it.

'Crony capitalism' isn't capitalism. It is not even good business. Some smaller business will come along and easily shoot their kneecaps off.

IBM was crony. It was practically DESTROYED by the coming of the minicomputer.
DEC was crony. It was practically DESTROYED by the coming of the personal computer.
Dow Chemical turned crony. They went whining to the government to institute a fake panic over ozone because a patent of theirs was expiring. That's socialism in the form of fascism by the government. Even Kodak and Agfa is doing better than Dow Chemical right now.
Boeing produced it's best airplanes when competing against McDonald Douglass. Now they are turning crony. They still have to compete again Airbus though.
Youtube turned crony. That produced some 15 competing video playback sites. Any one of them could wipe Youtube off the map in the future. Same thing is happening to Google. There are a host of other search engines around now, some of them are pretty good.
Microsoft turned crony. As a result they have been driven out of the server market, driven out of the automotive market, driven out of the phone market, and are facing the very real possibility of being driven out of the desktop market. Their videogame console business still has to complete against Nintendo. They aren't doing so well against the Switch. The only reason they are doing better than Sony is because Sony is worse than Microsoft.

Crony isn't capitalism. It is laying about on your past laurels. It won't be long before someone comes along and shoots your kneecaps off, and you might not be aware it happened until well after it happened. Dinosaurs had a helper 'brain' at the base of the spines to relay signals from so far away. There's a certain similarity here with large companies that find it difficult to maneuver when competition DOES inevitably come along.

A typical right wing thread devoid of facts and rooted in emotions that were created by right-wing propaganda. Corporations are bogged down with rules that stop them from poisoning the air, land, and water.
Nothing stops a corporation from polluting except one thing:

It's bad for business.

Even a low-level righty like you can understand the government is the only power that can stand up to corporations.
Only by destroying them.
You want the good old days when Pittsburg skies were black at noon and rivers had no fish.
It was capitalism that cleaned up Pittsburgh, ingrate. Companies like mine. Government did nothing until after the fact.
Wasn't that a great time?
No, that's why companies like mine came along and cleaned it up.
You, idiots, do not understand which side, corporations, or the government is charged with helping the people.
Both are. There is no 'side'. False dichotomy fallacy.

World murdering shit you are, let's face it, in a world-murdering country.

IBM was crony. It was practically DESTROYED by the coming of the minicomputer.

You're ignorant. Crony capitalism is behind all the mega-successful companies. Big companies lobby for more regulation to prevent smaller companies from popping up. Regulations make it harder for others to enter a market. Zuckerberg wants congress to regulate content, and he's volunteered his help. He doesn't want competitors to serve people facebook rejects. Amazon is pushing for a federal $15 minimum wage to make it harder for small startups to afford labor.

IBM was under a consent decree and the government prohibited them from having fully their own PC. So, they outsourced the operating system to Microsoft. If not for this, you would never have heard of Microsoft. And, today, IBM would likely be one of the world's biggest companies, if for crony capitalism. (IBM would also have avoided being decimated with today's weak antitrust attitudes.)

Changes in technology can change the leading companies, but I don't see how that has anything to do, per se, with crony capitalism. If IBM or DEC failed on their own to dominate emerging industries (e.g. the personal computer industry), what does that have to do with crony capitalism? How about companies that lost in an unchanging market they once led? Rare as hen's teeth.

Youtube turned crony. That produced some 15 competing video playback sites. Any one of them could wipe Youtube off the map in the future. Same thing is happening to Google. There are a host of other search engines around now, some of them are pretty good.

I don't understand your examples of crony capitalism hurting companies. What did Youtube and Google do that was crony capitalism, and specifically how did it hurt Youtube or Google? 15 competing playback sites? Youtube commands more user-created video streaming market than ever before, most of the others have gone way or barely exist now. Google search faces no noticeable competition, except maybe from Bing (and, that has nothing to do with winning consumers).

Sarch Engines Percentage Market Share
Search Engine Market Share Worldwide - May 2019
Google 92.04%
Yahoo! 2.67% [uses Bing]
bing 2.39%
Baidu 0.89% [Chinese]
YANDEX RU 0.51%
DuckDuckGo 0.38%

That 92% is the highest for Google ever, in a market that has only been growing.

Crony capitalism is the defect in our political system. I agree that often smaller competition with better ideas comes along and knocks the sox off of the BIG crony crooks, but most usually not until the top dogs have amassed vast and even obscene fortunes for themselves. Just think of how well our economy would work & justice would be achieved if, but for the idiotic regulatory system written most often by Washington lobbyist that makes it near impossible for the little guy to even get started without a bundle of loot from some other banker crook I can’t see reforming that ever happening as long as the duopoly party, two party bribery crooks remain in total power. They’re both too corrupt to be reformed themselves, they own the national media, they own the national debate, they own ballot access & every dime of special interest loot in the country & they’re racing the nation a warp speed into bankruptcy. How does that ever get fixed?

You're ignorant.
Starting if with the usual insults I see.
Crony capitalism is behind all the mega-successful companies.
No. Capitalism is behind all the mega-successful companies.
Big companies lobby for more regulation to prevent smaller companies from popping up.
That is crony. It is not capitalism.
Regulations make it harder for others to enter a market.
That is fascism. That is not capitalism.
Zuckerberg wants congress to regulate content, and he's volunteered his help.
Big deal. He'll get bit by the same regulations that everyone else will. He's just too stupid to see it.
He doesn't want competitors to serve people facebook rejects.
No, he doesn't. That doesn't have anything to do with his attempt to regulate content. Non-sequitur fallacy.
Amazon is pushing for a federal $15 minimum wage to make it harder for small startups to afford labor.
Lots of people in the Seattle area are. So? Startups will still form. That won't stop them.
IBM was under a consent decree and the government prohibited them from having fully their own PC.
Total BS. IBM once DID have their own PC. They fully owned it. It failed in the market.
So, they outsourced the operating system to Microsoft.
WRONG. IBM did not write DOS, or CP/M (the immediate parent of DOS), or ISIS (the immediate parent of CP/M) or Windows (descended from the Parc project, which itself descended from the Plato project). IBM's operating system for it's fully owned PC was OS/2, developed by both Microsoft and IBM (since IBM didn't have the resources to write its own operating system for the PC platform).
If not for this, you would never have heard of Microsoft.
Oh yes I would. Their first product was NOT an operating system. Neither was their second, third, or fourth products. They were programming languages. IBM didn't plagiarize DOS until 4 years later. Windows was a couple of years after that.
And, today, IBM would likely be one of the world's biggest companies, if for crony capitalism.
They still are. They run mostly on inertia these days though.
(IBM would also have avoided being decimated with today's weak antitrust attitudes.)
Why is there only one monopolies commission?
Changes in technology can change the leading companies,
Good for you. That's capitalism in action.
but I don't see how that has anything to do, per se, with crony capitalism.
It doesn't. It's capitalism.
If IBM or DEC failed on their own to dominate emerging industries (e.g. the personal computer industry), what does that have to do with crony capitalism?
It doesn't. It's capitalism.
How about companies that lost in an unchanging market they once led?
Same thing applies. Capitalism changes markets through the creation of wealth.
Rare as hen's teeth.
Unchanging markets? No, you will find them in socialists nations.
I don't understand your examples of crony capitalism hurting companies.
When a company goes crony, the are no longer being capitalists. Crony is not capitalism. It is begging the government to become one of the 'elite' in a socialistic structure.
What did Youtube and Google do that was crony capitalism, and specifically how did it hurt Youtube or Google?
Political correctness to gain political favor with the government.
15 competing playback sites?
Yup.
Youtube commands more user-created video streaming market than ever before,
No, it doesn't.
most of the others have gone way or barely exist now.
WRONG. They are still there and they are growing.
Google search faces no noticeable competition,
WRONG. There are already a variety of search engines out there.
except maybe from Bing (and, that has nothing to do with winning consumers).
It doesn't?
Sarch Engines Percentage Market Share

YANDEX RU 0.51%
DuckDuckGo 0.38%

Argument from randU fallacy.
That 92% is the highest for Google ever, in a market that has only been growing.
WRONG. The only place Google has that large a market share is mobile search (phones).

Well, in your case, stop blindly voting for the Republican, just because they're a Republican.

Bernie sanders and every democrat is a damned domestic enemy communist/ islamist revolutionary and "democratic socialist" is indeed an oxymoron; they know not what they do. reason, logic and reality is further from them every day. confounding and ever increasing confusion is upon the damned like a neverending bomb cyclone of darkness.
Slow down, breathe slowly a few dozen times. Then try again. You didn't make any sense the first time.

Yep, Democratic Socialism is an oxymoron. Bernie is a fcking Jew. Jews believe gentiles exist to be exploited. Bernie is a Communist because he wants to exploit gentiles.

And you are severely intellectually challenged if you actually believe that. Willful ignorance and stupidity has become a religion with many on the right.
