Anyone else sick of breast cancer awareness month?

For crying out loud. We have run out of shit to put pink on

I am surprised Faggot Billy hasn't pulled out his pink tutu in honor of the ta tas

It's a great cause; but can't we do it without football players wearing pink shoes and gloves and pink penalty flags? That's annoying.

I'm not tired of the breast cancer awareness campaign, I just wonder why we don't have prostate cancer awareness campaigns. It's strange to me how such a prevalent issue has no similar efforts to inform the potential victims.

I guess men aren't worth the effort?

Maybe men never made the effort.

I am tired of the 2000s. Why does 2 get an entire millennium? It is just chronologically correct bullshit. What about 3? And don't tell me 3 will get it's turn next millennium, like there will be a next millennium or any of us will be alive to see it.

I am aware of breast cancer. I am also aware that women routinely skip having their mammograms.

I am aware of breast cancer. I am also aware that women routinely forget to do their monthly self exams.

I am also aware that women have been identified by their breasts so much that some choose to die rather than havea mastectomy.

I am also aware that the treatments wreck their bodies and can be some of the worst medical treatments around.

I have also attended the funerals of 3 different women who lost their battle with breast cancer.

So no, I am not tired of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The awareness and the programs attached to it (often funded by sell various pink things) saved the life of the woman I love.

Hang in there. Maybe someone will start an Asshole Awareness Month and you won't have to try so hard.

I am sorry for your loss, I am happy for your one loved ones survival. :)

My reality is that I am smarter and more successful than your dumb ass and I stand by my OP

You are a little narcissistic bitch. Dance on any retards graves lately bitchboy? Need some more sympathy?

There you go again bragging about how smart and successful you are. You have the vocabulary of a 7-year-old, the mentality of a 6-year-old, and the thinking skills of a 5-year-old. So what are you basing these claims of intellectual acuity on? Whoever told you that IQ was measured like a golf score and lower was better, lied.

I agree. I would like to see similar in September in blue for prostate cancer which kills nearly as many men as breast cancer kills women and men.

Then start a movement, the reason you see so much on breast cancer is because we are very proactive! When you are diagnosed you become part of this huge network that view each other as sister! It is amazing, the love and support I received from perfect strangers. Then you find yourself reaching out to strangers and giving support.

Nobody wants to talk about cancer when it's located in a body part that's less glamorous than boobs. Everyone loves boobs. Nobody loves the colon, or the prostate. Testicles? Hell yes! Lance Armstrong has a very famous testicle. People must have less problem imagining testicles than the prostate.

I think the level of empathy is proportional to the popularity of the body part.

No surprise that you are. Anything that doesn't affect you personally is boring to you. Plus, you probably have latent homosexual tendencies and are really sensitive to the color pink.

The simple truth is that breast cancer research is cancer research. The potential for advances across the board exist.

Only a total Fucking numbnuts would be a dick about that.
I am all for breast cancer research, the more, the better. I posted way back on the old Board, that this area is where I would like Government to get really involved, take charge in every way, by linking all the research computers together, so everyone knows who is researching what. Also, the "Commercially Making Money" aspect of finding a cure for Cancer needs to be basically eliminated, the Government, using tax dollars needs to back research, with financial help and big payoffs to whomever finds cures. Let's take the secrecy and "the greed" out of it, and to those who think that the biggest "Corporation" in the World should not be in charge, I say read your Family Tree history. I bet that there is not one family that has not been drastically affected by Breast Cancer and that absolutely includes mine in a big way, no pun intended. This is and always has been my position, there should not be any politics involved concerning decisions made on such a very serious subject. The President who helps find a cure for Cancer by utilizing the mass government resources will become a legend, like no other. Maybe we get lucky, no pun intended, and someone passes this on to President Obama. Of course, the use of the "F" word may preclude that. You will never see me use the "F" or "N" words, never have, never will, sorry about that.

Yes because we should leave something as important as research up to the group that can't deliver mail on time.

Very common sense
