A pre-nup is legal. Sharia Law should not be legal because we already have civil law. Surely you're not suggesting that we violate the "separation of church and state"? Are you?

I've never heard anything more ignorant. It's not a "part" of Sharia law, that IS Sharia, women are subservient. It's like saying you're going to enforce the constitution, except for that "freedom" part. Sharia, in its entirety, is both unconstitutional and unconscionable, and has no place in either American courts, or Western society.

Some of it, clearly not all of it. Some is clearly unconstitutional and/or unconscionable, some is not. If a woman and man want to agree that alamony in the case of divorce will last three menstral cycles and then it will be determined after that by the amount of children she has... I have no problem with that.

In Amish culture, women are subservient. In some fundamentalist Christian cultures, women are subservient. I guess they fall under your guidelines of sexism and bigotry, and in America, too.

To say women have no influence in anything over a man is totally wrong. Generally these women make all the decisions in running the household and they also listen to and have some influence over a man's decisions in other matters.

First that is clearly and fully FALSE.

Secondly, accepting less in a divorce agreement for example is acceptable if done volentarly. If a woman chooses this, it is acceptable.
