There has been nearly 2 million gun deaths in America over the last 30 years, with only one of them happening on a film set. The safety record of Hollywood is not perfect, but is impressive. The safety record of the NRA is a disgrace, and we all know it.

There is no legal thing called justified manslaughter. Homicide is a killing of another person, whether legal or not. So an involuntary homicide is a killing without criminal intent, so is not a crime. An involuntary manslaughter is generally a killing with criminal intent, but without the intent to kill.

So the difference is a decades in prison.

Baldwin's been acting, that's for sure! He claimed he didn't pull the trigger. He lied. He killed a woman and injured another man. He did pull the trigger.

You are so right. It is the impaired driving that is the criminal intent. To get to manslaughter, you need criminal intent causing the accident. If you sneeze and run someone over, it is not manslaughter, it is just an accident. There is no criminal intent in sneezing.

There may be evidence out there we do not know about, but I am not seeing criminal intent on Baldwin's part here. It will be tough enough to prove criminal intent of the armorer.

That sounds like a murder committed by the father. The kid was just the trigger puller, but not the murderer.

If you intentionally drug someone's nonalcoholic drink, and he crashes killing himself or others, you are guilty of murder. He is not. He drove the car, but you committed the crime that led to the murder.

It was a "real" gun, not a "prop" gun. Blanks don't look like real "live" ammo, and the bullet can easily be seen simply by looking at the cylinder, even while in the gun.
