Teachers Unions are the demise of this country. Teachers unions are tied directly with the Democrat party. Next time you see a teacher who is part of the Union? Punch it inthe face, beat its kids senseless and demand your money back.

Not sure if you’re a big reader or have heard of this book but I found it absolutely fascinating. It’s by Jonathan Haidt called The Coddling of the American Mind. Highly recommend it and as a former teacher thought you might appreciate it

I always knew I wanted to teach...and I would do it all over again without a bit of hesitation...
It is a bit more difficult to encourage young people to go into teaching...but not impossible yet....I'm always very honest with them about what to expect....(I could write a book...;))

It certainly wouldn't be fair to mince words... On the other hand it's such a rewarding career if you're a strong enough person to make it your own... And make the kids top priority at all times...

I appreciate that...I truly loved teaching and coaching....no better or more rewarding profession, in my humble opinion... I would love to see teachers just be able to teach again....I have high hopes....

I had great teachers. We respected all of them. They wanted us to learn and when a student had an injury, they were like a mother bear protecting us. I loved school. I loved studying between playing baseball, football and basketball.

Great memories and I still have contact with some of my primary teachers and college profs and students. I am on the Alumni Committee at Vandy. My father was a philanthropist and funded scholarships there. He taught school for a few years. All seven of my siblings have degrees from Vandy.

Hearing memories like that is what makes it all worthwhile...We want everyone to love school...and worked so hard to try to make that happen... I still live very close to where I taught...I often see former students...and their grandchildren...;) Most have pretty wonderful things to say...lol
My parents were both incredible teachers...all I ever wanted to do was to be as successful as they were...I'm pretty sure I came close...;) A Vandy family is pretty impressive...and cool...
We're Buckeyes for Life, in case you haven't guessed....

My father was accepted to Vandy Medical School but the war intervened.

Lots of legacy appointments for my family.

My old engineering profs tell me that standards at Vandy have not been compromised.but I fear that at some other universities, they have been.

I’m sure that top universities like Ohio State and others have not.

Our country is at a tipping point. It all hinges on the November and 2024 elections. If the radical, far left Democrat Socialists prevail, we can fold the flag and go home.
