"Under Siege: Facing School Shootings and Book Bans, US Teachers Have Had It"
"American teachers are the most stressed they’ve been in years as they deal with the fear of increased shootings at schools, along with burdens of curriculum restrictions and being overworked."
"Rather than support teachers, politicians are stoking up culture wars and banning curriculum and books and calling them names"
"Lawmakers in 42 states have introduced bills banning discussions of racism and other prejudices from schools, according to an Education Week analysis. Concerns over school shootings also featured with nearly half of K-12 teachers expressing worry over the possibility of such an incident."
"More than a third of teachers said they would likely leave their profession within two years. Nearly three quarters said they would not recommend the role to someone else, and those who had been teaching for 16 or more years were the least likely to recommend teaching as a career."

And this is on top of usually poor pay, jeopardized pension benefits, attacks upon what little security they have, and having to defend yourself against candidates who want to make a headline coitizing them for political ends. No wonder a third plan on quitting and over seventy five percent would not recommend it as a profession to others
Just a further dumbing down of America
