sorry but wind energy and solar are not reliable and you know it
There is insufficient moisture in natural gas pipelines. Diesel engines have no problem with cold temperatures.
The Pipeline Technology Journal says they can (and did):
"The winter storm sweeping through much of continental United States with Arctic-like record-setting temperatures has literally frozen the natural gas pipelines crisscrossing much of Texas, the second largest state in the country, after Alaska. Many are not designed to withstand such low temperatures on equipment or during production."

So does the Pipeline and Gas Journal:
"Freezing can occur not only when water in the gas stream mixes with temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, but also with the presence of hydrates well above the freezing mark. Freezing can occur in natural gas from gas wells and from produced gas from crude oil wells. It can occur at any point from production to delivery."
.
Anybody sensible and clued up knows this already but sadly there are not many like that on here.

You are right here Flash. And ITN obviously does not know much about diesel engines either.
Buzzword fallacy. There is no such thing as 'climate change'. Climate does not have any quantitative value.]Bottom line is this, whether we go green, blue or black for oil....climate changes are coming
Climate has no speed.and its coming like a bullet.
Like what?We can either ignore what has been happening for the last 20 years
What loss?and keep piling up the loss
What catastrophic costs?and catastrophic costs
What beast? Do you consider 'climate' some kind of animal??or or or we can began to confront the beast
Vague 'solution' to an unspecified 'problem'.and make serious sound adjustments to our infrastructures and grids
What shit?because this shit is only gonna get worse.

Nope. It was the result of extremely cold weather and ice damaging distribution lines, windmills, and solar panels. Why do we encourage stupid threads like this by offering responses?
Everybody with more than a cashew-sized nub on the top of his/her spinal cord knows that the Texas disaster was a direct result of insufficient regulation and nothing else.
Just one. There aren't two sides to this story.
Define 'reality'.There's just reality and trumpanzee bullshit.
Nope. The ICE STORM caused the blackout (in certain areas).The Texas reliance on green energy caused the blackout;
IQ is a meaningless number. You are already stupid. You have nothing to lose.I feel like I'm hemorrhaging IQ points just by typing those words.
See the JPP rules. Can't we have any standards at all over here?
Translation: 'No'.
ITN: "You can start a steam engine even if you begin with all the water totally frozen (assuming the plumbing isn't damaged). The return lines are melted with the steam right there inside the plumbing. It takes awhile of course, but it will melt all the water in the lines and function as always."
^This is probably the stupidest statement ever made on JPP.^
You do not even have to make a good lie up for the rightys to fall in line. You have to be near retardation to think green energy caused the energy crash.
WRONG, the Natural Gas power generation generators froze up in many cases, it is because very little of it was actually winterized. Neithe r you or the OP have the slightest clue what happened here in Texas.
You are right here Flash. And ITN obviously does not know much about diesel engines either.
Okay, so Texas lives and learns. They winterize their natural gas plants and it doesn't happen next time. Texas can't make the wind blow when it's not. Thus, wind will always remain an unreliable source of power.

Your meaningless buzzwords are only resulting in a void argument fallacy. You are mindlessly chanting scripture from the Church of Global Warming.
It didn't. There was no 'energy crash'.
