Yes, Zelensky publicly stated that he felt there was no pressure. That part is true and a fact.

And everybody knows that just because somebody says something does not make it true.

This is a case where Zelensky was in a position where he felt forced to say one thing and likely believe another. Because he knew that if he did not say that, it would anger Trump, who was already not very happy with Ukraine.

It is entirely understandable that the world's leaders, particularly those of smaller nations, walk on eggshells around Trump, who can make or break their success.

It is also entirely understandable why Republicans want to play dumb about this.

Because this is not a normal situation. We cannot even agree on basic facts.

Half the nation is gripped in propaganda and has themselves completely fooled.

There are facts of the case, but half the nation refuses to admit them.

I wonder which side is fooled by propaganda?

Would it be the side which is on the defense? Clinging to power, knowing that if they admit the truth that power will slip from their grip?

Or the side trying to call out the truth........

Trump asked Ukraine to announce an investigation on CNN against his most likely rival.
Trump fired a respected ambassador because she got in the way of his attempt to get this investigation.
Trump demanded the announcement of an investigation of his most threatening rival, in exchange for money and a meeting.
There are other facts.
