Is President Apologist Still Kissing Commie Ass In Havana?

Poor Thilly Wabbit. It seems that Fidel dislikes our black president, too:

As Cubans debate the impact of President Barack Obama's historic trip to the island last week, one prominent figure is lambasting the visit: Fidel Castro.

In a full page column titled "Brother Obama," published in the Cuban communist-party newspaper Granma, the former Cuban president rejected Obama's visit and words of reconciliation.

The United States needs to build better relations with a much more smaller Russia and try to establish a better re pore with Putin and stop antagonizing that country by expanding NATO up against Russia's borders.

How can the shapers of our foreign policy ignore such brainy ideas? :dunno:

Fidel is 89, Raul is 84.
Like the confederate flag they will soon be dead.

Leon, you are an aging jerk off with a Marxist wet dream who doesn't have a clue about what you're talking about. Stop throwing tax dollars at problems Leon - Tony, it doesn't work .. it never works.

Well I don't agree and neither do any of my friends that have been there for holidays. Cuba will change and is already doing so, keeping the sanctions was just counter productive. The US didn't seem to have much problem supporting vicious dictatorships like Indonesia, Chile, El Salvador, Argentina and Guatemala, to name a few, in the past. I predict you will be going there in the next five years or less.

No nation is required to offer the same diplomacy in equal portions and depths to every nation its involved with, not the US, and not the UK. - and they don't!

Obama with his tepid and disgraceful diplomacy has proven he's a narcistic amateur. He failed to negotiate some human rights that would have allowed relations to move forward in a way that would have put the onus on the Catro's. But as is his typical empty suit leadership- he got nothing, but managed to add insult to injury for Cubans who have suffered due to the Castro's.

He got some sweet cigars.

Aging? He was conceived on a muddy field in (somewhat) Upstate New York in 1969! To a couple of dirty, muddy, hippies, who were tripping on freakin' acid!! Do you really consider a 45-year-old man to be all that old?!!?

:what:

So really what you are saying is that China is indispensable whereas Cuba isn't. The human right abuses are far more and on a far different scale to those of Cuba, however the US would be screwed without China hence their transgressions will be overlooked. Don't get me wrong I know that Cuba has human right abuses, I am not some left wing apologist for them, but I believe that the normalisation of relations with the USA will work wonders in the next few years. Not least because there will be journalists and eyes on the ground to report back any transgressions.

Look at Vietnam, five years ago there was virtually no internet outside of Saigon and Hanoi. Now you can get free wi-fi in even the smallest towns and as far as I could see there are no restrictions. Just imagine what will happen when Cuba discovers social media like the Vietnamese have done. All of my daughter-in-law's family are on Facebook and her many nieces are forever sending selfies etc. I know that the old men in Hanoi don't really like what is going on but the cork is well and truly out of the bottle now.

Then do the simple math. Conceived at Woodstock means mid-August of 1969, which means born in May of 1970. Hence, a person born in May of 1970 is still 45-years-old (although about to turn 46). My birthday is May 18th, and August 18th was the very last day...

Leon is old enough to have been to Woodstock and fathered his own offspring in a ditch.
