I'll be damned...the most brutal of the Delhi gang rapists is Muslim.

its not worth reading again

You say the world is going more secular but that is not true in Syria, Pakistan or Afghanistan. Are you happy for a fundamentalist regime to spring up in Syria? What effect do you think that might have on peace in the Middle East??

the world is becoming more secular and will continue to do so as long as religion keeps filling its ranks with people bent on HATE of their fellow man like you are

I'll try again!!

I am sorry your fashion tastes do not agree with others, but tis is the USA where freedom to express oneself is allowed.

Dresses for women, why is that so important?

So true. If he's going down that road, then slacks covering the legs, along with a top, would be more modest than dresses or skirts.

Mind-boggling. A crime of assault carried out by physical force and you call it bullshit. Usually when I read opinions like this, they come from the Victorian-era mysteries I'm partial to. Heaven forbid you passed along your delusions to your kids.

Yeah, just keep taking phrases out of context and mis-representing what I say if it makes you feel better.....typical mo of the pinheads.....

The bullshit is your narrow-minded belief that rape is ALL about violence and control and not about sex.....thats whats bullshit.....

I've had Christians tell me that Jesus was more violent than his popular image, and cite his riding in w/ a bloody sword in Revelation. Christianity has also been spread w/ war & violence throughout history.

The plain fact is, most adherents to both Islam & Christianity are peace-loving people who keep their religion private. It's the extremists that always use it for a political agenda.

I'm sure some of these people could cite chapter and verse on Islam violence, yet completely ignore that of any other religion. As examples:

Spanish Inquisition
Huguenots
Puritan witch trials
Crusades
St. Bartholomew's Day massacre
European wars of religion
Haun's Hill massacre
Mountain Meadows massacre
Sétif massacre

They are not reporting the rapes. In many of those socially conservative countries women are punished by the state or culturally for being victims of rape. It's not because Christianity is better but it's foolish to simply believe the stats give a truly accurate comparison.

Rapes are under-reported in the US also, so no matter who you're looking at, you won't get a truly accurate comparison.

Fashion and or dresses isn't the point....the point is that travelers on public transportation USED to respect their fellow travelers by taking a bath and donning clean clothes
so they wouldn't offend others by stinking up a bus or airplane with BO and bad breath.....unlike you.
That civility is gone because of liberal asswipes that believe anything goes, it is feels good, do it.....how I dress or smell is my business.....

The respect for others is missing

Its just another horrific crime against women ?.....the fact that its condoned and commonplace in Islamic culture means nothing ?
Or will you just close your eyes to reality and deny the fact that women are nothing more than slaves to Muslim men....property, without the most basic of rights
that all civilized people recognize,,,,,,except Muslims.....

Have you ever in modern times heard of a Muslim man stoned to death for being a victim of assault ?

THE QUR'AN DOES NOT CONDONE RAPE! Are you stupid or what?

Violence and subjugation of women in some societies pre-dates Islam and is 100% a product of male patriarchal beliefs.

WTF?????

Do people here realize that this guy is literally nuts??

Hey Tom if you're so worried about Syria, disband the Royals, tell Kate and Willie to get a job, and use the money to go invade and occupy Syria! Leave us the eff out of it, we're not the world's bodyguard!

And oh just by the way? Send YOUR sons to fight the damned thing too!

Why, I happen to have found that thread about Ohio values to be an utter joy! The news story thread, not so much, because it is obviously a tragic story when these things happen and some institution interferes with justice. Perhaps we can annoy Christie with questions about the quarterback of her beloved Steelers, though, eh?

You won't annoy me with questions about Roethlisberger because I never defended him. Ever. I think he should have been booted off the team. You guys do annoy me, though, when you criticize the rest of the team because of Roethlisberger's crimes.

I know Mott. I don't think that what happened to this young woman represents "Muslim values" either. I don't even get it, since five of the six weren't Muslim? But even if all six were Muslim, this wouldn't represent Muslim values anymore than what happened in Ohio represents Ohio values. Catholic values God help us, that is a whole other kettle of fish. But let's face it, sticking a steel rod inside of a human being and murdering them with it, does that really represent any culture or any country's values? Even in India this has caused an uproar that may very well change the country. And women in India are treated horribly. Yet even there, people are blanching over this.

God sakes this was six, not ONE, but six, outright psychopaths. God bless the victim. I am so sorry for her.

your analogy would only have some validity if you said, what happened to the young women in India represents "Indian values" and comparing it to
if something happened in Ohio representing Ohio values.....

Its not the location that is at issue, it IS the culture of the twisted assholes that committed the rape.....a culture driven and nurtured and condoned by the Islamic religion....
values instilled in the followers from birth to adulthood until it becomes an obsession. A culture that is common to the Middle East and permeates the region, and not
just Muslims.....

Catholicism isn't a culture nor is Christianity in general

Nobody would be happy about that except other fundamentalists or profiteers. The questions are, who should stop what's going on there? Do other countries have a responsibility to jump in, and which countries?
