Fucking Pig Feds, This story has me absolutely disgusted.

This man, compliant with all state laws in montana, sentenced to 80 years behind bars because he supplied medical marijuana patients.
Pretty simple, there's federal laws too. Until you get enough states to change the federal laws, if you are in violation of the controlled substances act, the feds can get you.

you're either being bluntly factual or you're trying to avoid the blatant unconstitutional enforcement. can't tell which.

But apparently Righties are still far more adept at changing what other people wrote in order to ignore their comments and avoid having to discuss them.
what would you like me to discuss? how I criticize both left and right for a failed and unconstitutional drug war? or your inability to see anything past your own fears and phobias?

No.....That's not how it was. At all. Ever.

Yes, my son. It was exactly like that but it's never stated as clearly. Not everyone but the majority went along because the dark side of human nature was cultivated. People's self-importance was played to the point where the government told them they were superior human beings. While most never understood the ramifications, the actual events that were occurring (the death camps), they really didn't care just like people don't care when the homeless are moved from a certain part of town.

Think how often do we hear politicians say they cleaned up an area. No homeless there anymore. Do we ever wonder where they went? Do we care? Now add to that a government saying we're superior. Then add to that rumors of war. Get the picture? Mass psychosis, for lack of a better term.

Of course they cared, why else would the Nazis have made what they did so secretive? If you want an excellent example of that, if you've ever read "A Year in Treblinka", there was once a German woman and her kids who were sent to Treblinka by accident, the Germans at the camp looked over her documentation and she was indeed German yet still sent her to death for the obvious reason that they knew regular people WOULD care.
Comparing homeless movings to mass death is disgusting, and its not a logical comparison anyway - no one is losing their life or even their property and nor were they paying for it.

Bluntly factual, if you don't want trouble, don't break the laws. If you want to do something illegal, either change the law or don't complain when said law is enforced. Do neither and my sympathy for you will be nonexistant. I have no problem with colorado making weed legal, in fact I voted for it, doesn't mean I'm going to have any sympathy for the people who get arrested before it takes effect.

Yes, my son.
No.

No, again, it wasn't. The biggest promises of the Nazi party were government expansion. The propaganda against the Jews was a common cultural heritage of Germany for about 1500 years at that point.
Not everyone but the majority went along because the dark side of human nature was cultivated.
Yes, but not in the way you think.
People's self-importance was played to the point where the government told them they were superior human beings.
The government also enforced this at gun point and pen point (I.E. it was all LEGAL). But no, while anti-semitism was a staple of German culture (side note, the Nazis engaged in great amount of rhetoric about how the Jews were HOARDING wealth that the needy Germans needed, now what does that sound like), the majority didn't care about Hitlers racial theory. They cared that he was in charge and making Germany FEEL (key word) strong again and prosperous.
While most never understood the ramifications, the actual events that were occurring (the death camps), they really didn't care just like people don't care when the homeless are moved from a certain part of town.
Uhhh the death camps didn't come until '42, after a decade of concentration camps for ALL manors of citizens, from Jews to political prisoners. In fact, that's how they started; as a reeducation for political opposition. The Nazis went far out of their way to make it appear that they were helping the Jews, not killing them.

Think how often do we hear politicians say they cleaned up an area.
Yes, and think of all the power that people willing GAVE the government to do so.
Now add to that a government saying we're superior. Then add to that rumors of war. Get the picture? Mass psychosis, for lack of a better term.
More like mass apathy and ignorance, as well as a utter willingness to give the government all the power to do this. People were complacent as long as they had comfort.

Are you unable to read? I wrote, "While most never understood the ramifications, the actual events that were occurring (the death camps)" Do you want me to increase font size?

It's not for the government to learn a lesson. It's the people who have to learn the lesson. People like you who don't even understand there is a lesson to be learned. :palm:
let's see. WE THE PEOPLE created this government, so it's our servant. when did the government become our teacher? I think you're confused, or a communist.

then I would ask you, what about blatantly unconstitutional laws? still obey them, regardless?

This guy chose to martyr himself, after the Feds offered him a variety of plea deals. Now you're complaining because he chose to go to jail?

It was his choice.
His choice was to go to federal prison for 10 years and give up his right to appeal. But count on this. The Conservatives on the court, at least some of them are going to abandon their states rights beliefs in favor of the government going after the evil weed. For decades the Feds have waged war on a plant, and the plant has won.

No.

It wasn't just the Jews. It was anyone and everyone who was a "burden" on society. The mentally handicapped, the homeless, the gypsies.

The people didn't give the power. They were, as you said, apathetic. Complacent as long as they had comfort.

Rather than have government do things for the people and keep an eye on government the Right view is to not have government help the people. That is not a solution.

i don't know if i would go so far as to say the plant has won, but the war has certainly not succeeded. i don't think the thousands, make hundreds of thousands in prison or jail for possession or distribution of the plant would say the plant has won. when prohibition of marijuana takes places, just like alcohol prohibition ended, then will the plant have won.

more importantly, the people, we the people, will win.
