No I'm not ...that's exactly what this thread is... not letting a good tragedy go to waste..read the OP... I agree with "part of the problem" ... but there's always been access to guns and that has not been an issue in the past... so what really needs to be "cured' are the other parts of the problem...
That’s not true, semiautomatic weapons were not available, nor particularly marketed, prior to the ban, but since, the proliferation of such has made it the number weapon of choice in mass shootings
And school/mass shootings were not as common, neither was the sheer number of guns of available nor the easy access to that number
