I can envision digital vaccination certification becoming a status item for virtue-signalers, like driving an electric car.

Covid-19 vaccine recipients in Los Angeles County, a major virus hot spot, will be offered a digital record that will help ensure they get a second shot and could, eventually, be used to gain access to concert venues or airline flights.

The offering is being provided starting this week through a partnership with the startup Healthvana.

It’s initially geared toward ensuring people receive both doses of the two-shot regimens that have been authorized in the U.S., including through follow-up notifications before a second appointment.

It will also give recipients a way to verify they have been vaccinated, which they can put into an Apple Wallet or competing Google platform to prove to airlines, to prove to schools, to prove to whoever needs it that they are vaccinated.

Los Angeles-based Healthvana began working with the county earlier this year to provide Covid-19 test results to patients.

People really need to read what HIPAA is and more importantly ISN'T

It is designed to keep some person in the hospital from saying "Hey Pelosi was in the hospital getting her anal warts removed". But, the government is exempt. Plus as you pointed out, they will find a way around it. The Wu Flu with an over 99% survival rate has been the impetus for the assault on many freedoms all because marxists want guaranteed safety and RINOs are too weak and feckless to stop them

I know what you’re saying but at some point someone has to *access* that information. Unless your Uncle Bill administers the vaccination some medical person is going to give it. Since they are a medical person, HIPPA applies to them. HIPPA applies to pharmacists so the same would apply to them.

But they’ll likely figure out a way around it because we have too many obedient Lemmings in this country. Because of that, we’ll all *be forced* to take part in a Stage IV clinical trial in order to board a plane. Since I may/may not take it I’m not as pissed as I would be if I was 30 something.

Note that "doctors stress that he was seriously ill". They don't seem to apply that qualifier to people who die from heart attacks or cancer who are also COVID-positive, do they?

A nursing home resident in Switzerland who was among the first in the country to be vaccinated against COVID-19 later died — but officials did not indicate whether the death was related to the jab, according to reports.

“We are aware of the case,” an official in the canton of Lucerne told Reuters, adding that the matter has been referred to Swiss drugs regulator Swissmedic.

Lucerne was the site of the first shot by Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech being administered in Switzerland primarily to the elderly.

A doctor at the nursing home had not been contacted by the vaccination team, according to local news outlet zeitpunkt.ch.

The resident, who received the coronavirus vaccine on Christmas Eve, had previously reacted negatively to the flu shot, according to the report.

The person, who had dementia, complained of urethral and abdominal pain on Saturday, the Swiss outlet reported. Later, the resident’s blood pressure dropped and their pulse spiked.

On Monday, the facility did not report the patient’s worsening condition.

The following day, the doctor was informed but the patient died soon after...

A 75-year-old man was lucky enough to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Israel, only to die a few hours later from a heart attack that officials believe is unrelated to the shot.

The unidentified man got the Pfizer shot at 8:30 a.m. Monday, and within hours had lost consciousness and died at home in Beit She’an, the Jerusalem Post said.

Health Ministry director-general Chezy Levy has launched an investigation, but early findings suggest the vaccine was not connected to the death, the report stressed.

The dead man had a history of numerous pre-existing conditions, including cancer and heart problems, including earlier heart attacks, the Times of Israel said.

He also showed no signs of adverse reaction after being vaccinated, and was only allowed home following a period of observation when he said he felt fine, the reports said.

“We share in the grief of the family,” Levy said in a statement.
